Thanks Spidey! Nah, basses ain’t her thing... I’ve actually caused her to loathe basses with my GAS lol!Happy Anniversary, to both of you! She's probably loving the new Sadowsky you got her, right?
Love this!
"Honey, if you want to get me something special for our anniversary, or retirement, or divorce... this would be it."
(I hope she's listening.)

Some Will Lee 5 related questions:
-Is the neck different than a regular MV5 neck, and if so, how?
-To those who have owned both an ash/maple WL5 and an ash/maple MV5 with single coils, did the Will Lee preamp add a level of functionality you enjoyed and used, or, not? And if yes, then can you quantify that?
thanks
...which is not a feature limited to the WL model. My NYC has the narrower nut too. The only neck difference I know that is unique to the WL is the extra fret, but I don't think that would change feel.Hiyah, Chef--

Hiyah, Chef--
Well, I'm a rosewood/alder guy, but maybe I can respond to your questions anyway. I've owned both an MV5 (with hum cancellers) and WL5.
The only difference I felt in the neck was the narrower nut width--but it's an absolute deal-maker for me. I _greatly_ prefer that feel down in the first five (maybe seven) frets. Talking about a fiver, here.
I thought I was gonna use the mid switch a lot, but it hasn't turned out that way. It's probably because my basic tone isn't scooped much (has enough mids for good definition), and my habit is to use my fingers (and thumb) for the articulation . I flip the mid boost on every so often.
I am enjoying the WL model feedback. I am considering a Metro 5 (MV 5 WL) but given the investment new (or used), am not sure if I'd prefer the nut/neck of a WL over a regular MV5. I THINK I'd prefer the narrower nut, but not entirely sure.
Does a Metro MV5 WL have single coils? Thought they were the HC on the, just like on the regular Metros? I have a MS4 that's great, it has the HC pickups.
Anyone that has any thoughts on this, I'd be greatful to knw your opinion and experiences, regarding WL vs. non-WL 5-string in Metro line, particulalry the MV5 WL (as I generally like the maple 'boards, like my MS4 has.
TIA, cheers.
Here are the differences as I'm aware...Does a Metro MV5 WL have single coils? Thought they were the HC on the, just like on the regular Metros? I have a MS4 that's great, it has the HC pickups.
