I love the concept of milestone basses but they never work out for me. I sold my 40th birthday Fodera a month after I got it. I had a wedding day Azola that didn’t make it to our 5 year anniversary!My first was for my 40th....but I don't think I'm waiting another decade for my next order.

Hello dear TB'ers.
I like to ask couple of questions about my Sadowskys if you don't mind.
I have two Sadowsy. Red one built in 2018 (M10349) and black one built in 2014 (M7525).
I bough the red one with order (brand new) and while waiting my order one of a guy near my town offered me a trade with his black Sadowsky and I accepted it.
When I got the black one it has sticky neck (like Fender 70s neck) I though it was an original neck finish the Sadowsky basses but when my order arrived I understand that the original Sadowsky finish was quite diffirent. It is very similar to my Stingray's oil finished and feels very nice but the other hand after I got the red one I no use the black one because of its sticky neck finish. So, Is there anything I can do for that sticky finish on the black Sadowsky ? Since I read that Sadowsky neck finish can cause chemical reaction when touch some bass stands so I always keep them in case but I have 2 kinds of stands one is Hercules Stands GS405B and the other is Hercules Stands HCGS-523B the other question is can I put my Sadowsky to these stands ? Are these stands cause chemical reaction on bass necks ?
And also I want to declare that black one is in perfect balance while the red one has significant neck dive
Can't they put Ultra Light Hipshot tuners instead of heavy Gotoh Tuners after check the instrument's balance

I’ve owned three Sadowsky’s and they’ve all had Hipshot ultralight tuners. Not sure how yours got Gotoh tuners.
A lot of Japanese basses use Gotoh hardware, is it possible yours is a Tokyo model?

Thank you ! All across the neck of the black one is sticky. It feels like it has a gloss neck finish.
Since I had two of them I never keep them on any of my stands. I only keep the in case. I put them to these stands only few minutes for taking photos.

Sorry. I didn't mention it. Both Sadowsky are made in Japan. They are from Metroline Series.

I've got a white 5 string Modern with a Rosewood board, but I want my next one to be exactly like your black/maple one but with 1 more string.
Then I'll have a Yin for my Yang
The red one is a new Metro, the black one is an older Metro... Hmn, got me wondering if maybe the black one has just been played enough to where the satin nitro finish wore smooth. That's starting to happen to my NYC; it's starting to look a bit glossy. I'm OK with the feel of it, but the cure is to buff _lightly_ with a Scotchbrite pad to knock the gloss down. Or maybe a previous owner polished it with something...
I gotta doubt it's from the stand, since the stand only contacts the neck in a very small area.
@JohnnyTog the advice to contact Lisa is an excellent idea. She was most helpful to me when I asked about extending the upper horn's strap button a little to make the balance more to my liking.

Thank you ! What are the diffirencies between old and new metros ? I traded black one from one of the best player in my town. So, I am sure he played a lot the black Sad. I read that Nitrocelluloce Laquer is buffing off because of too much playing. I always want to keep my red Sad.'s neck just like that, like new, unfinished feel. I always wash my hands before playing and wipe the neck after every playing. I think I can keep finish of the neck as much as possible this way.
I have a nitro finish on a Highway One, and it's worn quite nicely over the years... bought it new, in '06... nice and shiny in all the right places...
