Wow!, the flame is clearly seen on the inside of the upper cutaway.

Their descriptions are useless. They are my absolute favorite pickup company, bar none - but the blurbs do nothing for me. That said, do they still analyze their pickups with bar graphs on a 1-10 scale, re specific tonal characteristics? That was some seriously useful stuff!

Was curious how closely the hyperbole resembled the actual tone. Even if it didn't, could be some meta-commentary on 'hey, we like our pickups, but who knows what dog of a bass you're slapping them into, so let's have some fun'

Very well, I took the club’s crowdsourced advice on my TYO Verdine 4. Off with the D’Addario tapes (cool as they may look with the black hardware) and on with the Blue Label flats. Bam! Righteous tone.

For me: the numbers were useful, the descriptions were entertainment.

It's great that we bassists have so many options these days, but most of my basses have Nordstrand pickups. Tons of options, great CS.
