Looks like Bass San Diego is closing. They still have some Metros, NYCs, and some used Sadowskys for sale. I'll be keeping an eye out for some sales!

Congrats on your awesome new bass! Soapbars in the J locations is one of the best sounding Sadowskys out there!![]()
I found Blue Label 5 string sets @ ProaudiolandAnyone had luck finding Sadowsky strings in the USA? Looks like they are on shop.warwick.de now, but the shipping from europe is a bit of a killer.
Hi Roger,
I'm resurrecting an antique of a post from you (from 2009), because I wanted to confirm this is true, cause I'm on a neck-finish deep dive. I agree completely, in that I love that feel. After it wears through, is there really no concern over humidity changes and other damage to the maple? You read a ton of naysaying here to that effect. Perhaps there is enough nitro impregnated in the surface that oiling or other sealants are not necessary?
Thanks again.
Anyone know why Blue Label Steel regulars are unavailable right now?
I feel very fortunate to have acquired this gem. It is a black pearl metallic NYC P5/SoapBar with a weight reduced swamp alder body and Brazilian rosewood board. I am a PJ5 fan and this one is something special. I get the Sadowsky NYC thing now.
MetroExpress! Did anyone notice that since the last Sadowsky newsletter on 5/17, the last batch of Japan MetroExpress bass inventory flew out the door? Looks to me like about a dozen sold on the Sadowsky website in like 4 days. I was going to grab a 5 string in ash/maple, but they are all gone.
To make sure I understand part in bold, this is 'IF you blend both pickups, with the SC J in there'.
Part of me just wants to try it. The HC in my PJ5 does a pretty could 'Jaco thing' when I add in a chorus pedal (which gives it a bit of kick in the mids) but I've always wanted a bit more 'snot' in that tone.
I just got in another five 5-strings and six 4 strings. Will be up on the site any day.
Roger
