Don't the Will Lee 4's come with a D-tuner? My Japanese Metro did.

The danger is (like me) you buy a 5-string NYC and then you need a 4-string as well. I've seen 'sisters' a few times.
The upside is that once you have the NYC, you don't read the 'Metro' posts any more. All that extra time you gain.

I'm in a 4 string phase currently. Not sure how long that will last though. I think my main bass going forward will be a 4 banger and I have some great Alien Audio 5 strings.

Can the Sadowsky onboard pre be run 18v?
Not that I ever saw a reason to with any basses I’ve ever owned in the past.

I’m putting an onboard pre in a bass that’s wired for 18v and was curious.

Quoting something from several years ago, Roger mentioned that you could do 18v but there was no audible difference. Maybe the circuit was redesigned over the years and this may have changed? All told, I’ve never run into anybody who ran an a Sadowsky pre at 18v either online or in real life.

I’ve owned way too many Sadowsky’s over the years (hell, I started this club LoL), I’ve never had the need or thought to ever run 18v.
The bass has a rear battery compartment for two batteries, figured I’d use them.
Guess I’ll just leave one not hooked up and always have a spare on hand.

Could always hook them up in parallel instead.

I apologize for this. We do spot glue in our nuts but sometimes they get by me without being glued. My builder who did most of the Satins does not work here anymore.

If your nut is loose, just put a tiny drop of Elmers or Titebond on the bottom of the nut and then tighten the strings to hold it in place until the glue sets. Make sure it does not stick out on either side of the nut slot.

Pickguard Planet and Quickguards can do it on a tracing. Pickguard planet only did it because they had on hand a template that matched my tracing.
