I believe they’re planning to update the bag, but agreed. I swapped mine out first thing.
I've seen quite a few 4s and 5s on Reverb with the roasted necks, but not one with flame like yours. You got yourself a special bass.
MIJ Metro Hybrid PJs: Blue flats (40-100).
Metro humbucking and TYO single coil JJs: Either Blue SS or Blue nickel - they come with SS.
TYO Verdine: jury’s out. Tried tapes, nope. Blue label flats, very good. Might try nickels or Pressurewounds.

My factory blues are going pretty dead. The B string seems to be the worst. Even after setting the intonation it sounds out of tune the further up the neck you go. Really blurry. I could probably wipe them down with alcohol or something.
I'm going to try Dunlop nickels 130-45 on it next. Hopefully it will be good because the price sure is right!

Is that a reco for the TKL Vectra? Looks great - it's light at 5.4 lbs and is on sales at $169. Right I'm using the Sadowsky hard case which is a tank.
Yes, I like ‘em…they’re a good blend of rigidity, protection, weight, form-factor…extremely light-weight.
I have bass storage limitations…the thin profile is advantageous (pocket flattens nicely, when not filled...) Currently have two basses (Roscoe/MTD) in TKL’s, and never hesitated to leave the house in them (although my NYC’s all have/travel in Portabags…)

Great customer service on the order by Warick/Framus Nashville. Instant order acknowledgement, fast FedEx shipping with tracking communication, and email delivery notice.
I also use a Gator Pro bag, which I favor, although it is a bit less protective than the Sadowsky bag. Also have a TKL Vectra, which is nice and light, but least protective of the 3. Quite pleased with the new Sadowsky pro bag, and it is the best of my bunch. Handily beats heavy TKL hardshells for local gig transport.
Had been looking for a new gig bag for a while. Was considering an Access Stage 3, but it was $240 plus shipping, with a 3-week delivery time. Today it appears to be $179 on clearance, including shipping. Oh well. Bird in the hand. .

On the TKL, are the sides rigid like the Contego or is it more of a floppy case like my Mono M80?

So who has one of the 2020 German LTD’s with the whale blue quilt top? Wondering how these play and feel?
Don’t own one, but my shop had them. Texture, finish, feel is very similar to ours. Build quality is the same. Honestly, kind of want one, but the M5-24 is my go-to far more than my Metro Jazz.
Here was my situation yesterday morning. 
All went as well as I could ever have hoped.
My "gig" is Church, and that's what I bought this bass with the intent for. Basically run the GK MB115 as a "pre" as well as a monitor for the sound system, currently. However, something very interesting happened to me yesterday.
I get to our rehearsal room, plug in, and no hum at all. This bass is dead silent, as it should be. ("He says, as he scratches his head, baffled.") We use a Rumble 25 in the rehearsal room. When I plugged into the GK, same thing.
Rumble 25 and GK MB115 are my identical home set-up, albeit I have the updated GK. (?!?) Seems like this bass doesn't have a pre-amp issue. I must have some sort of interference issue at home, which I already knew. My printer can make my home set-up buzz too. What remains weird though is that my Satin M5-24 doesn't buzz at home. Also weird: sometimes the hum on this new one isn't bad at all which made me wonder if I was going crazy imagining things. So...I have no idea. But it all sounded killer yesterday!

Let's focus on that for just a bit, deep exhale, aaaannnndddd project into the future.
Had the same issue, I bought a Furman power strip plugged that into the wall and plugged in my heads through that and it eliminated my issues with that.Here was my situation yesterday morning.

I've used Goo Gone in the past to take stickers off of instruments without hurting the finish.
But it might be overkill in this situation. Maybe try a small amount of dishwashing liquid at first to see if it will break up the adhesive.
Whatever you do, just keep the chemicals away from the satin finish. In fact, it might be worth your time just to call the NYC shop and ask what they would use for this.
