Club Sadowsky!!!

Love the Sadowsky P basses, so few of them around. I had a Sadowsky Original P that I sold for a J. Wasn’t really into it, kicking myself in the butt now. Would love to find a pre-owned for sale.
Edit: My NYC Original P.

Speaking of Sadowsky MM: @ElMon, you still around? Progress report on your custom NYC MM5?

I think I'm in that 'it's soon, but don't start emailing/calling/fanboy'ing out just yet' territory. I'm limiting food intake and upping swimming to get Flea-level skinny, in case any shirtless MM playing might arise.

Love my WL-5 and the Sadowsky singles, but y'all, this NYC Ultra Vintage with soaps is just fat, fat, FAT! It has that spank, chunk, and splat you'd expect from a modern soapbar bass, but with a little of that jazz flavor mixed in. I've got to tell you, the videos you find online (or that I found) just don't do this combo justice. Then through the REDDI...eargasm.

Are those soapbars in '60's position?

Yes yes! Love that combo.

Nice! I love the checking.

Regarding paint, does anyone know if the MIG MetroLine basses have nitro paint?

There was quite short period of time, when Sadowsky NYC offered nitro relic finish (worn nickel hardware and UV specs). They called it Vintiquity. Unfortunately not many basses were made, as far as I know, their "relic" supplier retired.

For me, it's a great blend of Sadowsky features, sound and playability, and relic and used "worn glove" feel on the other hand (think Fender CS Relic).
