Club Sadowsky!!!

Sure understand that ... but I noticed the production included a quick clip of you touching your nose while not playing, LOL? Regardless, terrific production quality, performance, arrangement, and song! I grew up playing trombone in jazz bands so I "get" this kind of music a lot.

Haha, noticed that too!:roflmao:

It was a drum fill, and there were not many choice or option for that cut.
And I used to cut the hair in my nose, swear it!!!:D Getting older, more problems are coming....

A first happened last night... I got to hear my own Sadowsky played onstage by another person. I NEVER, EVER let that happen. EVER. But, I do setups and other bass work for the dude so I think it was ok. So...

.... right before our set Andy from Hirie grabbed my bass and Miles from Slightly Stoopid got up and did a quick 3 song set with my drummer holding it down. Miles ended up joining us onstage for a song out of the blue and sung some really early Marley over an old school reggae groove. This was a benefit for the family a popular local reggae DJ that passed over the past year. Camera sucks but at least I got pics...

My bass sounds so good, lolol :D

I need to do this! The only problem is the best candidate to play my bass at my church is also the drummer I normally play with - I'm going to have to come up with a plan!

I've had the pleasure of hearing my own Sadowskys played by others. It's usually been the black P5 in my avatar... and I never mind a bit because it's accumulated quite a bit of road rash from me. My CAR/Brazilian P5 is still close to pristine so I'm less carefree, but even so I was happy to lend it to a friend who showed up bass-less to the local open mic jam. He owns nice gear so I knew he would treat it right, and it was kinda cool to hear him say "Really? I can play the Sadowsky? Thanks!"

Sounded better in his hands than in mine, but no surprise there, he's a much better player.

It's was worth it. I liked what he did with the preamp, somewhat different approach than I take. Has me rethinking a few things.

Ok last pic .. someone sent me a shot with Miles onstage with us. Had a lot of compliments on my sound after our set. The house rig was farty garbage onstage, the direct tone out front was huge and round. Sadowsky basses just sit so well in the mix.

Hi, bassmates, this is the first video from the former bigband session two weeks ago, very hot, so fresh... :D featuring Modern Art Orchestra, the tune is Peter Szendofi's composition called 'Kim'. Hope this link works. (Another one coming soon)

What a tight group of players. You are great and the bass cuts through beautifully!

It looks as if these Masterbuilt gigbag are like the older portabags the NYC’s came with. The dealer said these bags was nicer than the Metroline versions.
There is a Portabag Pro that comes with Masterbuilts and Custom Shop basses. The standard Portabag comes with MetroLines and MetroExpress. I have already improved the standard Portabag, but it will be a while before they use up their existing inventory. The Pro Portabag is available for purchase.
