One thing is for certain, I wouldn't trade my Japanese Metroline for anything...
... I may sell it, but trade is out of the question.

Great question. Hopefully they are building something cause they sure were good at the trade.

damn, i remember that p/j. absolute magic.Plus, the P/J 5 just fits my preferences and the "ideal tone in my head" so much better.

*waits for @Fuzzbass to post his dual-P from that other guy...*![]()
LOL. I took my dual P concept to Roger first, but he politely declined. I totally understood... it's pretty nutty! Works for me, though.![]()
I’ve owned ‘a few’ NYC’s…this is no question, my favorite. The stable will inevitably grow (and shrink), but this one stays…View attachment 4558111View attachment 4558123

I no longer have the 25th Anniversary Modern. Loved, loved, loved the bass, but I have found that this particular pickup placement just doesn't trip my trigger.

Still, I wouldn't mind getting that Modern back in the stable:

i wonder who owns it now.I bought the Modern from you and it was a very, very nice bass! Sold it and wish I had it back, but like you, I seem to gravitate toward a JJ or PJ tone.

same for me, i bought a fantastic modern from ken jung years ago, loved it, played insanely well, but just kept going back to my j basses and such, so sold it.
What is that cabinet? Beautiful Bass Too!!
Thx! The PJ5 has a 1-7/8” nut (decided awhile back to only keep 1-3/4” nut 5’s)…but still, tough to let that one go (made easier that it went to my friend @ExaltBass)…This one is drop dead gorgeous
That black PJ5 you had was sweet too- Dave is a lucky man
Same as above but different fingerboard.

Yeah, me, too. It's really been an impressive bass so far. It looks beautiful, plays great and sounds amazing.I really like the Sage Green color.
I sold it to @Joebone who sold it to @fbenitz | TalkBass.com, but I wonder where it is now.
