Thanks a bunch for this tip. I loosened the string - lo and behold: it was twisted about 180 °. I believed I was good at preventing that from happening. After retuning the string to pitch it sounds better to me. Maybe thats psychological, but I'm happy for the moment :-)

more later of course, but from what i remember from the NAMM show from a fairly similar build (same elex, just different woods, and maybe model), my overall favorite sound was the reverse p and the 70's j, but all the sounds were awesome. and when you start using more of the coils overall, it's a force to be reckoned with!!

I bought this bass off from Roger about 5-6 weeks ago. It truly is a phenomenal bass and extremely well built. Quality and attention to detail are top notch. I love the ultra vintage 20 fret feel with modern sound from the pre amp. Roger was really great to work with. Initially I struggled with the 5 strings (I’ve been a 4 guy) but not I’ve got it. Just a beautiful instrument. I put some TI flat wounds on it and it’s the perfect jazz bass sound to me…

Reverse P is the bomb. I recently sold my fretted Yamaha BB2000 to a busy player, as I've not played 4-string in years, but my fretless BB2000 will always remain in the flock. Reverse P should be outstanding on a B-string, I'd think!

I think it was me.. I asked for a number in a post questioning about a banning in the fb owners group .

So I decided to give my NYC Deluxe Satin Jazz 4-21 a rest this week from playing at church.

In favor of my German MetroLine Vintage PJ 5-21.

It took a little while but I was finally comfortable enough playing it to try it out. And it delivered! I was able to leverage all the way down to the low B in the set. The best comment I got was from our acoustic guitar/lead vocalist: "I don't know who this Sadowsky guy is, but he builds one sweet sounding and looking bass!"
