I have a question about the Warwick Sadowsky Masterbuilt 2021 LTD 24-Fret Modern 5-String. is it the same as the old NYC?

I’m currently eyeing a German MetroLine Will Lee 5 that unfortunately I can’t test out as it’s going to be an interstate trade.
the bass I’m trading is my EBMM StingRay Special 4H.
I’m currently in the market for a 5 string Jazz and this bass seems to tick a lot of boxes for me.
How are the German Sadowskys? Would you get one without testing it?

I bought a WL 4string (avatar) without testing. It's a fantastic bass in every way. Build quality is outstanding. Sound and playability is fantastic. And it's a Will Lee, so you have the midswitch and you can adjust the midvolume and total volume with the little pots on the back.

I really don't know how the German Sadowsky sound, I have a Sadowsky NYC Ash Maple Maple and a SadowskyV70 Japan Yoshi Ash, for my taste Sadowsky NYC and Metro Yosi is the best because I haven't tried a German Sadowsky yet. After spending so much money I learned that I like nothing more, I have been a Sadowsky NYC User since 2015, I still don't know what a German Sadowsky sounds like, I wouldn't risk it either

I have a few people I play with at my church, including one sound tech, who prefer the sound of my German ML PJ 5-21 to my NYC Satin Deluxe JJ 4-21. They are both universally appreciated for how they sound.
Has anyone swapped out the chrome hardware on a Satin Verdine White 5 to black?
If so, what bridge lined up the cleanest for you?

I had issues with a new vehicle I bought a few years ago that involved a little more than 6-7 grand. Nobody wants to have to deal with that, but going around on an internet message boards complaining about it whenever I could wouldn’t have gotten anything done.

For me, based on first hand experience, someone complaining about customer service or QC from Sadowsky, and especially Roger himself, says more about that person than Roger or his company. Sorry Dude.

BTW, I finally got in a full band rehearsal with the new Super P/J last night, and this bass just really nails the tone I prefer. To be honest, the pickup switching options are fairly subtle, but what I like is that they offer slightly different takes on a baseline tone which is right up my alley. It plays like a dream, too! Still the honeymoon, of course, but I am very, very happy with this bass! 
If anyone's looking for a change of pickups for a Sadowsky 24 fret 4 string, I just listed my like new Nordstrand Big Split 4s, humcanceling set in the classifieds here. I originally bought their stock 18 or 19mm set but didn't like how the strings lined up, so I returned them and ordered a custom made set with a 20mm spacing which worked perfectly with the 24 fret 4.
They would be OK with other basses with the Bartolini BC sized pickups, but they're great for the 24 fret. The black mounting screws are included. They cost $227 for the set plus a $40 upcharge for the custom string spacing. I'm asking $175 shipped to the 48 Continental U.S. States.

I went by the NYC Sadowsky Shop with my son yesterday. I brought 2 of my basses (NYC PJ4 and Japanese Metro Express) to be tweaked and restrung. Roger Sadowsky himself welcomed me and worked on my basses. He sent me to the showroom and allowed me to try anything I wanted. I tried just about everything there...NYC PJ 4/Soapbar, NYC Jazz 4, German Metroline RV4 (the one Stanley Clarke played) and German Metroline PJ5 were all outstanding!!!
Roger gave me every detail of everything he did to my basses, let me try them and asked if I needed anything adjusted. Talk about great service! He treated me like I was a star! He asked details about my likes and preferences with basses and even took the time to talk casually with my son.
I decided to order another Sadowsky and now he took us into the workshop, showing us around. He even brought my son and I to the fretboard wood storage area and allowed us to pick out our own slab of Brazilian Rosewood!
What a great experience! Mr. Roger Sadowsky himself dedicating 2 hours of his time to us! A class act! So fortunate to have this experience with the Master himself!!!

That’s Roger alright!
Very similar experience myself with Roger manning the desk up front, taking the tour, sitting in the bass room.
Talked about wood shops in schools and kids working with their hands.
I too ordered a bass, and the experience and bass are worth every cent!
Something that I will take to the grave, dealing with an extremely amazing bass builder and man to boot.

I really want to do the same one day. For now, I love my metro from Japan.
