Hmmm…seems to me that you might be missing a fretless.
Since I received my German Will Lee I’ve considered selling my CS ‘64 Jazz Bass. Racing improves the breed and Roger improved the standard bearer.
I’m gobsmacked by this bass.

There seems to be a lot to like with the Warwick builds, but as a fan of the WL, are the German WLs equipped with single-coil or hum-cancelling JJ pickups?

It looks like you have all your basses covered indeed!
Here is a video of my RSD being played by another TB member who is an accomplished doubler. Bass sounds good to me.

very nice! I’m considering getting a 24-5 vintage, is there any downside compared to the 21-5 vintage?
I recently bought a Japan Metro Will Lee (single coils) and it indeed replaced my CS Jazz. Terrific instrument. Build quality is every bit as good as my NYC.

They feel different due to the additional frets but I prefer the feel of the 24-5. You might not though. Some people don't like slapping on the 24 fret version as much because there is less space between the end of the fret board and neck pickup.
To my knowledge Kikuchi-san worked in the first LIC shop for a year and in fact did make NYC Sadowsky basses. So yours is what was being turned out then. Congrats on acquiring a great bass.
Fender is just going to do what Fender does.. you either like them or you don’t..I have both Fender Ultra 5 and Sadowsky Metroline express out of Germany.. both of them sound incredible, but I’m basically using my Sadowsky for all of my gigs .. It’s lighter and very easy to play . The Fender is heavy and the Neck is a little wider than I prefer .. nonetheless I’m blessed and thankful to have both of them.

It doesn't matter who does the rough work. If the man puts his hands on it, it's a friggan Sadowsky.
The questions is, is a metro a legitamate Sadowsky or just a high end OLP? I mean, it's got his electronics package but otherwise, different woods, different neck, different hands...

Rock On! I've had several NYC Sadowskys, but my Japan-shop WL5 fits me well, and is a truly wonderful and satisfying bass.
I am a touring bassist (25 years) and I have owned 4 MIJ metros and one NYC chambered, bought from Tuly.
I only own two MIJ Metros now, all the rest have been sold, including the NYC, which had beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Giving the traveling restrictions on certain woods, and being a traveling muso, I could not travel comfortably with this NYC.
PLUS, IMHO did not enjoy the chambered tone...more of a bloom than the boom of a solid piece of wood. It just sounds different IMHO. Let the hate begin!
BTW The MIJ's have been Solid as a Rock!

The small but detectable "dead spot" is in a different place on the 24 fret basses. C# on G string as per Fender on the 21 freters and Bb on the D string on the 24 fret basses.
