I believe that's 500Hz, and it was my pref as well.

Right. I think one switch is the freq (either 500/800) and the other is either narrow/wide, so you can have either freq at either width. If I recall correctly, the default is 500/wide.

Hey guys. Here's a quick little clip of my ash/maple NYC vintage with Sadowsky singles played through an LDS 115HO cab (30 pound one way 115 cab with the amazing new Eminence Neo 3015 in it) and the Markbass F500 set absolutely flat (I did this clip for the owner of the LDS cab prior to shipping a couple of hours ago). Recording was made just setting a little Edirol recorder about 3 feet in front of the cab.

It's a nice mix and match to my ear... punchy and GRINDY. The wide, deep and bright voicing of the Sadowsky J (especially with the Sadowsky singles) really pushes the fat, mid present 15 nicely IMO.

Just a 'what the heck' FYI, since I happened to do this clip using my Sadowsky (with well broken in Sadowsky Blue Label steels). It gives you a pretty good idea of the 'non routed moderate weight ash, maple board, Sadowsky single tone IMO.

I shot over to the Sadowsky site but had some self restraint I've got an A-C LM5 on order and with the baby arriving a month early I now have to cover 5 months worth of expenses while my wife stays home until the new year.

I guess it wasn't so difficult to close out the site but man are there some nice basses up there.

Anybody in western suffolk county got a 24 fret 5 string with Sadowsky Soapbars I can try out?
