Hey all. I finally got my Sadowsky UV70!!! It is being shipped out today. I am using the pics from another TB'er, so I hope they don't mind. But I wanted to share with everyone.

One of my fave basses! It's really gorgeous. If I could find the same thing in a Ash/Maple combo on the used market I'd give a kidney for it.

HI
What up club members? A non Talkbass friend of mine on the west coast is looking for a used NYC JJ4 string. Prefers JJvintage or JJUV with a rosewood board. Doesnt have to be mint. Gonna be a workhorse. Already has a 5 string for 10 years and loves it, wants to add a 4. Musts are lightweight and rosewood board. Everything else up for debate. Anyone know of one or would like to sell, PM me
Rob
Here's a few early carpet shots. Dang, this thing is KEEEELAH!!! It's also got some cool mild flaming in the neck. It plays like buttah and the usual "dead zone" is minimal to non-existent. It's 8.8 pounds, and the tone is awesome. This is MOSDEF one of the best Metros I've ever played or heard. MOSDEF! I just got it today on approval, but it's so damn good I've already pulled the plastic off the guard. Done deal.

HI
Thanx Jerry. Saw all of those. He's dead set on an NYC or Im sure we'd have found one by now. Thanx again for the links
Rob

D'oh! I missed the NYC in your post. I guess I'm blind in one eye and can't see out of the other.
It always seems that things show up when you aren't looking for them. At least that's what I have found all too often.
There's a cool Seafoam RV-4 on the 'bay right now.
I always keep just a slight bit of relief in my necks. Just enough to tap a string in the middle of the free section and see it bounce up and down off the fret.Just to check guys, are your necks fully straight or with a slight bow forward to allow for the string's vibration?
My metro's got a slight bow forward and am thinking if fully straight would not be better..

Yeah, if most Metros are this good, they're a particularly good value... even better than I'd originally thought based on past experiences.Very nice, very nice! Think, I have to start selling one of my bass and save some money to get a Shadowsky MV5 in 59'burst ash/maple.
