Does anybody have a side by side picture of a Metro Ultra-Vintage 5 and a Vintage 5? I'd like to see the difference in size. I'm planning to buy a Metro this year but I can't decide between the two. I'd like to have an undersized body jazz so I'm leaning towards an MV5, but I also like block inlays so if there's not much difference in size I'd go for the UV. Thanks.

Rob,

At the risk of having three pages of pup discussion in this thread, can you comment on the Nordies in a J bass pup position's slap tone compared to the Sadowsky HC J, SC J, and soapbars in the J positions?

I had the Nordies in my Modern and while they kille for fingestyle and pick, prefer the Sadowsky soaps for slap.

I took some pics but they didn't come out great. Also, Roger's doing work on the Modern. So it's only (sic) 3 basses and 4 guitars and the SA stuff in house at the moment. I could do the big family pic hopefully in two weeks but I'm leaving for AK on April 11th.

To me (and trying to factor out the fretless factor), the EMGs are less aggressive than Sadowsky soapbars. The EMGs blend well in the mix while the Sads cut thru more.

Both sound great both recorded and in live situations... needless to say, I guess!
