The orange one is singles, vol/vol, full size body.
The red one is HC, vol/pan.

The red sounds more "aggressive" than the orange. In theory I think it should be the opposite. I was thinking about recording some samples, lets see if I can have the time for that.

Sounds like the biggest difference lies in the slap tone. Hell, for live apps, it probably doesn't matter which set you have, but for recording...
