Club Sadowsky!!!

DOH! You're right, HOWEVER, mine is definitely not as light as that picture. It may not be quite as golden as 5466, but it's definitely got more color than that pic. I've always noticed that.

For me, I've actually thought about it a lot and I would personally really dig either tort or the black that came on mine, and I think I'd feel the same on the vintage tint. I just think they're both top choices for both finishes. Sucks to have to decide! :D

Here's my trio picture again... much more representative...

Hey, just for fun, I got mine out and took a pic of some of the little bit of "mojo" it's already got on the neck. Man I love this bass. Folks in the audience and even other band members don't even look twice at this plain Jane J. How killer it is is just "our little secret" (and the sound guy's wet dream). :)

Love the trio shot and never getting tired of seeing that. Nice mojo on the Natural. Hard to pick a favorite based on looks, but I'm a sucker for natural finishes. (Sorta like your jones for the burst.) But, really digging the MV5PJ. Thinking about one of those in Trans White / Tort.

Sorry about briefly turning the thread into a treatise on shipping companies. But figured I'd pass along the good news that #M2457 has been delivered. Got that scratchy throat feeling like I wish I could go home. Gonna be a long afternoon!

I think you are just trying to kill me Vic. Man, I need one of these...

Thanks!
The middle Valenti is alder-r/w with Sadowsky SC's and Sadowsky preamp; it's a nice contrast to your old alder-rw RV5-JJ with HC's.
Those two pickups sound more different from each other than I thought they would.

That's very interesting info. I've not had an opportunity to compare the two. All the clips that I have heard have not given me a compelling reason to change out my HCs. I guess it's the "if it ain't broke don't change it" attitude.

If I get a job in the near future or sell some stuff I am really GASsing for a maple/ash 4 that I would add the SCs to. Anybody want to buy a really nice '69 Jazz?:bawl:

Well, after all the attention this bass received a couple of pages back on this thread, I thought I'd better call Kevin at Sadowsky and grab it before someone else did. I called yesterday morning (it was still on the web site as unsold at that point), but it sold the night before!!!:bawl::crying:

So, what else is there to do but order one for myself. In about six months I'll be part of the Sadowsky crowd. Until then, I guess I'll just drool and lurk.

Bob

Edit: Congratulations to the lucky person who bought it!
