Club Sadowsky!!!

After being Fender P guy forever, I added a Sadowsky P after being so blown away by my recent 5 string purchase...should have some action shots later, the function photographer last night promised to email some pics...everything a P bass should be minus a couple pounds, plus the incredible VTC....

That's a gorgeous P.! Looking forward to my day !? Do you use the J pup much or do you prefer old school P. sound?

Well I should have a newto me/used Sadowsky on the way. I won a cool Metro MS4 in 59 burst on the bay.

It's this exact bass M289 from the Sadowsky site.

Well I just got it Saturday, but that night I used it and started with the pups balanced, then quickly rolled a little more of the J in there, I've got the sound of my 5 string in my head already and love it. After that i just played with the VTC, to me the single greatest thing since sliced bread. I'm sure I'll mess around more, but I'm very spoiled by Roger's preamp and VTC now. You can literally get any sound you want. And I use flats! Thanks for the comments, so far I love it!

This bass looks so nice, it makes me not know what do to with myself! Nice one!

Not only that man, everytime I plug it and play it it grows more and more on me, I think my search is over it is the tone in my head, honestly if I was only to keep one bass only this is it period, I am so impressed with the WL model, should I order a rosewood??? :)

You should get a WL in this configuration.

Black body
Matching headstock
Pearloid Pickguard
Rosewood or another sexy dark wood fingerboard
Black hardware
Sims LED fret lights. I'd like to have them on the side markers of my necks on my basses.

Those Will Lee's are awesome!

It would also be cool if the knobs could also be in the Modern or diamond configuration.

Uh-oh! it sounds like someone has a new #1?:bassist:

Welcome back Bartman.

Yes, I'm in love and have a new #1. :D

But I'm still in Cleveland with Kira. :( She had a whole bunch of seizures today which got us some good/useful EEG data, but they've had problems getting them to stop. Hopefully I'll be back Wednesday night unless they can't get her stabilized. When we're back I've got to have you over to compare our new Sadowskys!! :hyper: :bassist:

That's really interesting about the different neck profiles on your Sads.

I have to admit that I wish the tuners used on the Sadowsky 5vers were a little beefier-looking. The ultralights on the Lakland 5vers have full-sized posts, but don't add a whole lot of weight. The ones on the new Fender American Standards are similarly wicked looking but light. I think the Sadowsky headstock could easily take larger posts, aesthetically speaking...

Though if someone offered me my pick of the three as a gift, I wouldn't let something like tuner size bother me...

Best wishes, Bart. We'll be keeping you, Kira and the family in our thoughts and prayers.

Tom.
