Club Sadowsky!!!

IMO, so many of the 'fancy top' J basses (Sadowsky and other brands) just don't seem to work, especially basses with otherwise 'vintage' components like burst finishes or tort guards, etc.

Bluesy's bass is truly "drool worthy" and I used to be more to that side the same as you Ken, but, have now come around to quilts and flames with gaurds and burst finishes, there are so many that just look a-m-a-z-i-n-g IMO!

I guess the other side of the argument is "why would you want to cover ANY of that quilt up? ;)

Thanks for all the great comments on my red bass. It really purrs! But really, everyone's Sadowsky is something to drool over! I don't comment as much as I should on the great configurations/colors that have been posted lately but I'm right there with everyone on the drooling thing. Sometimes, I just stare at the posts with pics and I'm speechless, jealous, and mad at myself for not saving $$. LOL!

No update required Vic... I have to pick myself up off the ground EVERY TIME I see that shot  you're a lucky man!

You are right. Vic has the most Bad Ass Sadowsky Trio I have ever seen. But I like to look at them so Vic, Feel free to post them anytime. I am proud to say I have played the two J's and wow. I thought the Quilt Top was one of the most beautiful Basses I have ever seen but when I got the older Natural/Solid body bass with SC's in my hands I didnt want to put it down. There were 5 other Players with Basses flailing away in that room and I could hear everything I did on that Bass. And that thing just has MOJO when its in your hands. That Bass just spoke to me from the first note to the last note that I played on it. Just something about an Ash/Maple Sadowsky J-Bass with SC PUPS.

All these basses are just so beautiful in their own way. Aesthetics is so personal that there obviously isn't a wrong or right 'look'. Bluesy's bass just really spoke to me.

They all look good, and even the most most strange combinations obviously look good to someone. My gosh, mine is orange:p Talk about an acquired taste:D

Thanks! :) It's great too 'cause they all three have such massive personality diffs, and are killer in their own way. The only thing I currently GAS for at some point is one of the new MV5/24 J5 basses. They look really interesting.
