A little live Sadowsky porn. Rig: Mesa 210 and Marknbass F1 with super dead strings (you have know idea how hard it is to find strings in South America!!!)
This is a vid a band I played with just threw up. It's a tracked gig and the drummer pushes the track quite a bit which can be really frustrating. Overall it was a fun gig though. Despite a few glaring wrong notes, the brutal open D in "wake me up" and the crack head speed I push September let me know what ya all think. Sorry for some of the distorting from the camera.

Looks like a fun gig. I liked a lot of that. And you can really play. As for that brutal open D, have you ever listened to Fall Out Boy live? Do it, now. Hell, it makes *me* feel better about my playing...

And for a crappy camera mic, the mix really wasn't bad.

Great tone and very up front in the mix, which means that there is no forgiveness when you play a Sadowsky...like around 4:30 :D. Just jokin', you can fill a bucket with all my wrong notes; great playing and a very good example of how a Sadowsky Modern sounds.

I wanted to share with all of you that Greg Lake has returned to the Sadowsky family! Greg bought a standard 4 from me in the late 80's, but I never had any personal contact with him. He called us a couple of months ago and spent an hour on the phone with Kevin talking about basses and dogs, and ordered a new vintage 4 (he said he regretted selling his Sadowsky years ago). He started touring with Keith Emerson the beginning of April and I hooked up with him at sound check at the Nokia Theater in Times Square. He is a most wonderful, personable fellow! This bass he is holding is a loaner until we finish his custom build. This first leg of the tour culminates at the end of July with a reunion Emerson Lake and Palmer concert in London.

wow Tom , you are a bad influence too , im planning for Sadowsky # 2 , I love the black ash maple 4 string on the for sale page but wont be able to come up with the dough in time im sure , but im really thinking about the WL bass , is the mid really helpful ? , im sure it is , thanks for the influence

Cool news. I have tix for the LA show in a few weeks. I also saw Emerson at a local restaurant a year or so ago with a 15 piece jazz band. Brian Auger was there and sat in for half the set. Emerson brought his Moog to the show - it was a crazy good night.
