That's why I love my HC'sstellar sound, NO hum
not saying I would never buy a SC Sadowsky down the track but I have no reason to as my J with SC pick-up's slams!Hum is virtually a zero issue with the singles if you know what you are doing. With both pickups dimed, no difference in noise. With one pickup favored slighty, you get 90% of the 'pickup solo'd tone', again, with virtually no noise. I have a demonstration of this on my Youtube channel.
If you dig the tone of the HC's, that's cool.. they are great sounding pickups. If you are not getting single coils (even if you like a bridge pickup or neck pickup favored tone) because of fear of noise, that IMO is a mistake.
