Congrats Mike. We're glad to have you back. That is a smokin' bass. I wanted that bass for a long time when Jonno owned it. The timing was just never right. Enjoy it!

That's why I love my HC's  stellar sound, NO hum

Hum is virtually a zero issue with the singles if you know what you are doing. With both pickups dimed, no difference in noise. With one pickup favored slighty, you get 90% of the 'pickup solo'd tone', again, with virtually no noise. I have a demonstration of this on my Youtube channel.

If you dig the tone of the HC's, that's cool.. they are great sounding pickups. If you are not getting single coils (even if you like a bridge pickup or neck pickup favored tone) because of fear of noise, that IMO is a mistake.

Yeah Ken, all good man :) I'm in the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" camp.

When I got both of my Sadowsky's, I wasn't after the sound that my '64 Jazz gives me, I wanted what Roger and crew built and love their chosen pick-up's in the models I've got (Standard 4 / Standard 5)

I love 'em! :hyper: not saying I would never buy a SC Sadowsky down the track but I have no reason to as my J with SC pick-up's slams!

If anyone has a line on 3144 -ash/maple, cherryburst, quilted maple top- Jonathan Starr had it last, PLEASE let me know.
It was my first Sadowsky I owned. I would crap myself to get it back!

Yeah Joel, looking forward to getting it.

I agree with KJung 100%. I have had no problem with Hum with my SCs. If you favor either PU a little it goes a long way and no Hum problem.

HI

Very cool. So, do u like the morado board or the maple board more?

Rob

So far, I actually prefer the morado board. I need... want to throw singles in here though. The morado had this great oily feel to it.. but tonally they sound almost similar to me.. but that is probably because this has HC's in it and the morado had SC's in it. I am sure if/when I put the SC's in this, I will hear the major difference. They both feel incredible though.
