It's got more fret wear than either of my other two, but it doesn't effect it too much; there's enough fret left to dress them if needed, I think.
Nothing sounds as good as that CAR 1981 that's posted in here somewhere. It's got the worlds best balance of punchy midrange, hefty bass, and brilliant highs.
But this one is no slouch

Not quite as much top end in this one. Typically nice warm mahogany/ebony punch. Fresh DA XL170's.
She's a road dog that belonged to a friend of mine who quit playing, retired the bass, and then got in soime financial trouble. I don't think he ever cleaned or maintained it.
At first, it had no output at all..cleaning/deoxidising the output jack fixed that. Noisy pots needed cleaned. The finish was horrible, and I thought I'd ruined it with the first coat of swirl remover/cleaner.
Two days and many coats later, polishing, waxing, it came out like that.
