complaint box/forum/soapbox

I see the reasoning behind the young people being demonised, and the older people being disrespected. some people of either age group are not as "good people" as others, and will either do something to annoy the other group, or overreact when a member of the other group does something bad against them. this repeats and spreads, and bad experinces tend to be remembered better than normal/good ones.

so, some people genuinely hate the other group, as they overreact to the other group's overreactions, and this contines. they also will make all members of the other group mad at them, and the other group will remember that, and generalize a bit, so they are moderately opposed to the other group. the easy answer, online, is to simply not give your age. I could be speaking for either group here.

ooo, my turn to complain.

i'm tired of generation y requiring coddling and constant positive reinforcement as a side effect of their post-babyboomer parents' continuous spoiling.

grow up and get over yourselves, kiddies. you look ridiculous.

I'm tired of Gen Y's parents...Helecopter parents who can't cut the friggin' strings.

Let your damn kids do something for themselves.

I work on a college campus, and you wouldn't believe the number of long distance calls we get from parents of kids who can't apparently do some very basic things.

I work on a college campus too and I can't tell you how many times I've spoken to Mom about their kid's school details while the kid is standing in the next room (or sitting on his @#s playing ps2). Or worse the family is on campus and Mom is dragging junior all over the place and he couldn't care less.

I also have a complaint about Lakefair not telling us we didn't get the gig until now after we submitted in December.

Oh, and bad brake jobs...

I have a few complaint about Talkbass and internet forum in general. Some drive me nuts...

- Quoting an entire post. Even worse, quoting an entire post and adding a "+1" or a smiley. Quote the revelant part!!!!
- Infomative threads turning into chit-chat
- Original posters coming back days later and adding "thanks".

And the very reason I came to complain: Chit-chat in picture threads and quoting a bunch of pictures just to say "wow", The "show your basses" thread is unreadable.

+1

So, about my underwear. Do you find it distracting?

Can I take away my +1? I was just kidding.

my aunt. I'm lucky to be 14 hours drive away, but i've heard she won't even let my cousin (14) babysit alone :eyebrow: . of course, my cousin is being slightly indoctrinated, and starting to show tendancies like her mother, though she tends to get as far away as possible from her mom if anyone starts criticising her mom's parenting.

any other way over-protective parent, not accepting that their is kid is grown.

also people I find rude: overly evangelical christians.

even ruder: overly evangelical atheists

rudest: anyone who forces their beleifs on anyone else

I don't know about +1 and smiley face but quoting a post is done simply to avoid confusion... Observe:

Dude! Totally agree!

Who am I talking about, answer in the next post!
