Nah, if it was the coolest it would have won the fight against the stage.
On a punk theme, JJ Burnel's old DIY Greenburst P bass has to be up there. You can tell a Stranglers song instantly from the grindy bass.

To me, it's the modern style P-bass in sunburst w/ a white scratchplate and rosewood neck. It just looks contemporary and balanced.
