Thanks for the compliments man, I think I've settled on that look as well, that is blonde over ash with maple neck, don't know what it does to the sound but I know that when I feel better with it, I'll also tend to play better

I've always loved the look of a white p bass w/ black pick guard & rosewood fretboard; it may be because most of my fav players play them...
I linked a Phil Lynott pic earlier, but to toss in the P I wanted I'll submit this one. I was considering a natural FSR with a rosewood fingerboard, natural finish and a white pickguard when this '63 refin came up in the classifieds and I had just enough to swing it. Only had to replace the (non original) tort pickguard. This is my preferred color scheme for the P bass, but the next one will be black, sonic blue, or surf green. I hope.
