Big fan of your work here. And, you're local to me in the CFL area. I want one.....no. I NEED one.
FM gave me a coupon. I'm shoe shopping online. So tell me gents......boots, heels, or full on CFMPs?

Good to see this is still going strong....may sound odd but I miss haveing the time to read throu all of the post , Hope all is well with you guys and gals and basses.
the bands are keeping me busy, played last night at the LCW event in Lancaster Pa, had a room of about 250, was an awesome show.
Manged to post a bunch of my own stuff on Reverbnation
ReverbNation
My Retrokast band has a few real Kewl things in the works...Real great things I should say.
I'll keep lurking around as long as I can.
Wife is gone for a couple days to visit friends. The house is to quiet/empty. Think I'll sleep on the couch tonight.
On the plus side, there's left over goat curry for dinner.

OK, so I played hockey tonight (very poorly I might add) but in the meantime by brother-in-law forwarded the recordings from our jam on Saturday. I promised to post them.
I will say these are very much under-rehearsed but there are some good qualities to parts of them so I will keep my word. First and foremost, my MapleGlo Rick through my Ampeg head and Mesa cabs sounds freaking awesome to me in Mony Mony. I am also singing some back-up in there. While it is easy to play, the tone is really cool.
96 Tears, this was the first time we'd done it with a keyboard. Our lead guitar took it on herself to learn that and she nailed the tone.
Then there is Venus. It sounds flat as hell. We have done this in a show before but have not really played it in about a year and a half and that shows. It will be better. So here is your intro to a rehearsal by the "Life After Forty" band.

I wish I could remember what a quiet house sounded like! Or to have the bed all to myself... LOL
If I had the house to myself for awhile, I would play my bass SO LOUD, it would rattle everything!![]()
That's when you really want an amp that goes to "11"
I hope I never have the bed all to myself again, it was terrible!
Like the singers voice along with the whole sound of the band. Couldn't get the 96tears song to come up.
Playing hockey. Lucky. It's been so warm here lately, our pond is melted. No skating at all![]()
Our singer has really good pipes. The mix in these is not perfect because it comes from just a hand held recorder placed in the room. It's not picking up quite everything but for our purposes it works.
Weird. I wonder if it was a trademark thing and they took it down. I reuploaded just in case. Here it is. There's a bit of warm-up/sound check/goofing around banter at the start. It might also be a touch slow.

Did somebody say, "Shoes"? What did you buy?
And you are amassing quite the collection of basses, Tat.![]()

This link shows "preparing for transcoding. Updates will be pushed once your track is ready."
One more try. I think I figured it out. Gmail picked up the confirmation email as spam so I had not confirmed the track yet.

The keyboard was this little tiny mini-synth. Not the kind where you push a button to get a sound. One of the ones where you mess around with a bunch of dials to get the sound you want. She really got this one dialed in.
My wife works swings, so I go to bed without her but sleep lightly until she gets home. I don't like sleeping alone (the cat doesn't count).
I had a lackluster practice session yesterday. A lot of it stems from that our second guitarist wasn't there.
Oh yeah and the hockey was at an indoor artificial rink. Weather does not matter though last night would have been fine outdoors here.
