With some variation, I could work that into being a song line. :bassist:

she played dirty pool [played dirty pool]
with that little tactic
thought she was cool [thought she was cool]
and she did look fantastic

but now she's up for grabs, up for grabs
be careful what you grab for
but she's up for grabs

I like it! I've been toying today with things based on the word chase.

Chasing dreams
Chasing wild geese
Chasing rainbows
Chasing tail
Chasing cars
Chasing fireflies
Paper chase

Anything anyone has to offer is greatly appreciated.

How could I have missed that one?

I have a big afternoon ahead of me today. I'm playing with a drummer I've not met yet. My bass teacher has played with him and hooked me up, so we've talked and are going to give it a go. On today's list of songs to play around with:

Gimme Some Lovin' - Spencer Davis Group
You Really Got Me - The Kinks
Werewolves of London - Warren Zevon
Mony Mony - Billy Idol
Yesterday & the Day Before - SPÜN

So...we shall see how it goes.

In other news, I put new strings on the Spector last night. A set of Ernie Ball Slinky Cobalts - and I'm rather impressed. EB has put some interesting hype out on these, and for now, I tend to agree with them. They have a really nice heavy sound with noticeably longer sustains.

So now.....off to the shower - see ya'll later.

Why be chaste?

:p

PS, somebody wake me up around 1000, feel free to start the next one and I will clean up later,

Spent the afternoon hanging with a new to me drummer. It was a great afternoon. Big first time thing for me playing live with only a drummer. We clicked. It was definitely a butterflies in the stomach moment.

We worked on Werewolves, You Really Got Me, and Gimme Some Lovin' all afternoon and played around until we found the place where it just all came together. Then some time with him playing with tempo to see if I was capable of adjusting to changes. At the end of the afternoon.......he said to me, "You have a remarkable sense of timing. I threw some things out there that I wasn't sure if you'd pick up, but you did and you did it fast. You're the kind of bassist I could play in a band with. Would you be interested in partnering up and doing that?"

Needless to say - my answer was, "YES!" So now it begins.
