Here's the trifecta that I'm referencing, since it hasn't been posted yet this forum and I don't know if you've seen it yet.

I was looking for the link to get a mug the other day and couldn't find it.

Never to old to start man. What kind of drawing/ sketching do you do?

It's funny that I went to school for Art and I'm an Art teacher, but my passion is bass. I do enjoy drawing and sculpting, but my knowledge of music is well, I'm just learning to identify notes on the bass clef. So music has always been the bigger challenge, and probably why it is so much more rewarding.

I just do freehand stuff with either fountain pen or pencil. I draw mainly from imagination.

That's the best kind of drawing. You should post some pics sometime.

My artwork is not very exciting. Mostly figurative and portraits. I really admire artists like yourself that draw from their imagination. Not many people use fountain pens ( unless you mean like the micro technical pens ) For my money I like black and white or monochromatic artwork because so much flash can be added with color that the subject matter can be diminished. Black and white keeps it a bit more raw somehow. Sorry, this is TB not TA :) but sharing your work sometime would be welcomed.

My entire back is done fully in black and grey......no color in that tat. I wanted drama - and got it.

No micro-technical pens. I prefer the old-fashioned dip pens. I'll have to find some examples and post them..or I could just draw some new stuff.

Sweet! C-nibs, crow nibs, etc.! now that is cool.
Props for going old school, and by old school I mean like literally, the old school house :)

I use Higgins Black Magic radiograph ink for my airbrushed portraits, or just a 2B, 4b, 6b Venus pencils.

A few years ago I was bumming because I was working so much that I could only get out my bass for an hour or two every 3 or 4 months. I recorded this after one of those 14 hr construction days because I didn't have it down on any format.

Anyhow, I dug up this vid for you Tat because I know you will find the right person to share your life with. I wrote the tune for that exact moment when someone finds their soul mate.

It's not metal, a little hokey, but it is from the heart as any song should be.

Disclamer: crap video, headless player, drywall compound on the hands, still wearing my Dr. Marten work boots w shorts. It really would have been best left recorded w/o video :)

Pretty bass...pretty song...pretty much makes up for the poor fashion. :p
