Oh my, what a cutie with a sweet smile... AND she even plays a RIC! ...Who's this? :hiding:

Random thought:

I've got a new pack of DR sunbeams in my gig bag and it feels a little bit like having a gift waiting for me to unwrap. I'm putting off using them till I absolutely need to... Like that emergency candy bar. Or maybe it's just me.

I do that!!!! It's awesome - like the present fairy loves you and the anticipation is almost as good as chocolate. Melted. And drizzled over your ice cream cone waiting for you to lick it off. Slowly.

LOLOL. You just wanna see if they jiggle.

Oh by the way.....they're real. And they're SPECTACULAR!
Unless they're fake (yuk! :( ), they all jiggle. So, um, you're telling me they're look as good as Teri Hatcher's?!?! Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice! :D However, this *is* Talkbass and you know the rules. No pics, no spectacular!

Cool! I have Sunbeams on my FNA Jazzman and really like how they sound. But, I still think I prefer Lo Riders. I have a set of them on my Stingray and on my Tobias and they sound like the Sunbeams to me but with a stiffer feel and, as I'm sure most here would agree, a stiffer feel is much more enjoyable to play with.

Actually for me I like a slinkier string and prefer the warmth of nickel. I have a set of high beams on my jazz right now and they are at that sweet spot point where they are warm and still have some snap. They are tight as hell though and probably good for another few weeks.

I have nickel DR lo-riders on the 'Ray right now..freaking love those strings.

That's what I've been using on my current Stingray since day one. Love 'em! I tried SS Lo Riders on my previous Stingray but gave the nickels a shot before I sold it and found I preferred them.

If Chuck uses Lo Riders on his Stingray then I guess the Official Bass of the MoCWBs isn't just a Stingray, it's Stingray wearing Lo Riders! :D ;)

Wow, I've purposely never tried High Beams because I've always read they're pretty loose. In fact, the reason I tried Lo Riders the first time was because I saw so many people saying the High Beams were somewhat floppy (my P5 had TI Jazz Flats on it when I first bought it and they were so floppy that made me shy away from floppy strings) and the LR's were considerably tighter. Maybe I should give them a shot?

Hmmm, here's another thought. Thinking about the construction of the strings, I'd bet the Sunbeams could be considered the nickel version of the High Beams. If that's really true, then I'd probably stick with the Lo Riders. I really like the sound of the Sunbeams, but for me Lo Riders have the sound AND the feel. But I do have a set of High Beam flats sitting at home. I'll have to eventually put them on one of my basses.

They're better. But there will be no pics. Thor would be forced to ban me. So....you'll simply have to take FM's word after she visits that they are what I say they are. After all - she and I will be skinny dipping, and doing naked manicures, and naked hair brushing, and apron only cooking, and naked bass playing....and...well...you get the idea.

But about the other part of your reply ...... pffft! The fact that I'm such an amazing stalkee is what makes me such a FRIGHTENINGLY good stalker. I'll take my own pictures! :D :D :D :D :D

You realize that we're probably making it easy for you to get pictures just so you'll get close enough to [del]stun you[/del] see the whites of your eyes, right? Don't trip over the cat. And don't bang your head on the windchimes. It makes the dog bark and disturbs the neighbors.
