I'm sure that thought has at least crossed the mind of every MoCWB in here. :D. ;)

... And probably the CWB's too! :D :D :D :D :D

hide :D

I'm attempting to catch up on paperwork. Staring at the computer screen is straining my already tired eyes and I just want to sleeeeeep...

Anyways..what are the weekend plans? The wife and I are taking the kids to her parents' place tomorrow so that they can do a community egg hunt. I don't have band practice on Sunday since it is Easter. I want to sneak down to that Guitar Center to check out that Peavey cab sometime this weekend.

I still need to meet PA.

As a semi-lurking MoCWB (is that the correct acronym?) who has somewhat regular contact with the lovely Ms Aggressiv, I can tell you that it is quite tough to behave yourself in her presence .... she is rather stunning both physically and spiritually, to say the least. Thank God I'm old and extremely married ;)

If you do meet her, might I suggest some Xanax ingestion pre-PA??

Pointbass, MoCWB is the correct acronym.

Completed my paperwork a bit too quickly. When I finished it up, a lyric popped into my head that is from a Primus song entitled, "Spaghetti Western"

Well what'll I do now?
Go to sleep.
Pull the pud.
We need new pornos
Guess I'm still writing.

And subbed. Still got 2 or 3 pages of 14 to cover, but work is very slow, half the people (the non Pagans) are gone already to celebrate some kind of ancient ritual murder rite. There were also some Dentist and Drs. Appts, taking a client to lunch appts and other BS happening here.

Mike, I tend to agree that a 'celebration' is kind of over the top. But you are wise to let your sister do what makes her happy, so I suggest you just go with the flow and try not to create too much discord over it. Also, since it is your birthday, perhaps you and Jackie can do something else that day that you enjoy on your own for part of the day.

Yup...

finally got a chance to do some 'xperimenting in the bass-cave in the Hudson Valley this afternoon ... with everything going on the last couple of months, haven't had much opportunity for a while. I'll try practicing tomorrow with the Streamliner 900 thru the Neox (next gig for the VAs is a bigger place than usual), plus all flats (LaBella Deep Talkin's on the '51 P reissue and D'Addario Chromes on the Stingray 5). One thing I realized with the fooling around is how much I like the EBS ValveDrive as a pre-amp ... completely different sound without it.

I've been checking out the EBS Valvdrive myself. I'd love to have a tube head, but that isn't in the budget right now. This seems like the next best thing.

Stunning basses, by the way.

Thanks. Yes, it's the next best thing. Full tube heads are not only expensive but weigh a ton. The Streamliner pictured has three tubes in its pre-amp, so it's pretty tube-y, but I'm finding that the ValveDrive still adds a lot.

Chuck, how do you like that NeoX cabinet? I have two Dr. Bass Neo 1x12's (yeah, I'm one of those lucky people that actually got mine!) but am thinking of trying a single cabinet that's lightweight and will still put out at least as much volume as the two I have now. The NeoX 212T seems like it would do nicely, but for some reason I'm also toying with the idea of sticking with two cabinets and trying a pair of the Focus 210's.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on it? For reference, I have two G-K heads - a 1001-RBII and an MB500.

Oh, by way, nice Stingray! :D
