CWB: 23 TBD

Got a little bored today (took today off to wait for some contractors..who are late as of this posting) and plugged my new-to-me GK Fusion into my 215.

I thought the Markbass LMIII was loud.

Not only is this head noticeably louder, but it's much more musical!! Me like..a lot.

Mike, I certainly hope you get to feeling better soon. I didn't know what cellulitis was and had to google it. It certainly sounds like it sucks.

if someone had said, is orange a good color for a bass, I'd'a said no, but I like how this one looks. I may go play it. Sadowsky is not far from my office by subway.

I think you should go try it out and get us a Man With Bass pic! That way we can see if the orange bass suits you. I suspect it will look very classy on you.

They are admitting me to the hospital for a couple of days. Groan.

That sucks, Mike. :( Hope they get you feeling better in a hurry!

Maybe a video demonstration is in order? :)

Thinking good thoughts for you Mike. You really need to pay attention to everything they tell you to do, it's very easy for this infection to become something extremely nasty.

It's going to take some time for the antibiotics to kick in. Once they get a handle on controlling it, things will get better but it definitely takes time (2 months in my case) to make it go away.

Rest and elevation are extremely important, each time I got careless about following those instruction I paid for it threefold. Didn't take me long to really pay attention to that mantra.

We've been celebrating the 150th birthday of West Virginia since Thursday...more fireworks tonight...been working twelves and getting home after midnight all week. Must be doing it right cause we have not burned down the Capital yet! Here is a brief example....hope you enjoy.

I just got home from the hospital. Thanks for all of the positive thoughts and prayers.

Glad you got to go home, Drummer. Take it easy and continue to get better!

That was unbelievably cool. Thanks for sharing it, Crow. Really wish I could have seen it live, bet it was spectacular! We saw a similar kind of lights/ fireworks show at Disney and the kids really loved it.

Sorry you had to do the hospital time, hon, but I'm glad you're home and feeling better.

It's karma, dude. You had way, way, way, way too much fun in FL and incurred the wrath of the vengeful one. The misery is the only way to expatiate all those sins.

:D We did have fun - perhaps too much fun. Nah. Never too much fun.

Or just some play with the redheaded goddess :spit:

Now that could be. We did have fun!

Those fireworks are awesome. Thanks for sharing.

I spent this past week in Ann Arbor, MI. Interesting stuff there, but I came home exhausted and don't get to rest much this weekend. I'm back on the road Tuesday to Atlanta for house hunting until next Sunday.

KMN.

Hi gang! I'm home from the hospital and feeling a little better.

Today I have a four band backline gig. Two drummer buddies of mine are going to handle the leg work. I'm going to do my best to sit with my feet up.

I brought a pic here for you to check out.

Chick with serious bass!

A page on FB called "Green Light Rockabilly" had this pic up and is trying to figure out who it is. I figured that, A) you folks would get a kick out of it, and B) someone might have a clue as to who this is.

Cool show!
Indeed! And per Post #68, this is looking more possible for a weekend getaway. The NYC GTG has evidently collapsed due to scheduling conflicts with the prior-year organizers, so that creates an opportunity in my schedule...

If I can work out the logistics it sounds like huge fun.

As we are unfamiliar with the area, we're open to suggestions on where to stay in the area... How often to they do that 3D show and fireworks ?
