So.....rehearsal tonight after work. And at 6:02 PM, I was officially commissioned to sing back-up. First gig is tomorrow (today - Friday) at noon. The song I've done lead on is "officially" cut from the set because of set length, but I've been told it might get played anyway - so be ready.

I'm terrified and thrilled all at the same time.

You are going to be great, so I know it's hard, but try not to be too freaked out. Just channel all that energy into excited! AHHHH! :hyper::hyper::hyper:
I'm so happy for you, if I could make the drive in time, I would come see you! :D

Reading these, I had a memory that might be worth a laugh or six. Most of you might know I had a band that did okay for a while in the late '80's-early '90's. At one of our shows in Dallas (Club Clearview, It's still there) a woman got up on the stage with us, without me noticing (I was lead vocalist as well as bassist) and started getting VERY close with my amp rig. I mean VIGOROUSLY close. Still not clear enough? Seriously? Okay. She dryhumped my rig. She actually rubbed herself against the metal speaker grill. I never even saw her while it was happening. I didn't notice until a bouncer came up and pulled her off the stage to a bigger round of applause than we usually got for that song. I asked the guitar player what was up. He replied "You might not get any action tonight. But your amp just did."

So I can tell you AUTHORITATIVELY, that the optimum setup for that is an Acoustic B4 head into an Acoustic TC210p powered 2x10 cab and a Randall 2x15.

Ahhh, think I sent you a curve ball with my wants!!! The bass in the pic is a Spector REX2000/5 with a Holoflash finish!! I would love a decent quilted maple top......only ever owned the cheaper ones......which is a small veneer, rather than a nice cap!!!



I once had an amberbusrt Lakland Skyline 55-01 for a while.....but it went as I needed the money!


As for your knob adjusting whilst sitting on your cab.....ooooh, saucy!!!:bassist:

Well I just know that we had about eighty people in the audience that night. Over the years (roughly between '91 and '93) I had about three hundred of those eighty people tell me A.) They were there. and B.) They saw everything and remember clearly.

Strange how not one of them ever could tell me who she was.
