What model did you have? I recently sold/traded my 700 blue moon, because I had hurt my back and noticed I avoided that bass like the plague, lol. But man, it had a great neck!
I also have a 300 Red Sparkle that I made a clear pickguard for.
The one in the avatar is a 750 Koa...can get anything except a passive tone out of it, and it only weighs about 8.5lbs. The Red Sparkle is just a hair over 8lbs. I don't know why everyone thinks ATK's are always heavy. It's bass by bass, like anything else.

Too much? I need to get a grasp on the limits here again. Lol

I just had the 300 model in sunburst . LOVED the neck but I couldn't mellow the thing out and GAS over took so I sold it to a buddy to get money for my SR500 that I wanted for YEARS but am now having second thoughts about now that 2/3 basses are passive P/J's and I love them. After literally about 4 years of GAS the SR hardly gets any play.

Sooner or later, we all go back to the P's and J's, lol.
Those sounds are so ingrained in our culture, that we tend to subconsciously think that bass should sound like a P or J, IMO.

Ill second that but dude if I could just get that ONE bass. 24 frets, 5 strings, P/J, with an active/passive option my GAS would subside forever. Could go the custom route but that stuff's waaay too expensive right now. -sigh- I don't even know a bass that has all of that in one, Fender Am Dlx comes close but no 24 frets.

Squiers are handling it for now. Lol
