Go to Dealey Plaza and place a flag in honor of the 60th anniversary. Watch the conspiracy theorists ramble about and argue with each other.

I had high hopes for a Country gig when I moved down here from MI in 2019. Not much Country outside of the red dirt type music and whatever they do in Austin. So my wife is a big Dallas Cowboys fan and we are going to Dallas for a game this weekend. Where are good places to see cover bands in the area? I'm staying not far from the airport, but driving a little is OK. I am mostly interested in 90's-current county covers or 80' etc covers, but open to any suggestions for this Friday and Saturday. TIA

Yeah if he’s gonna be in Dallas, then Pecan Lodge would be the place.Go to Terry Blacks or Pecan Lodge for bbq. Thank me later.
As far as music, Deep Ellum is where it’s at but not for the kind of stuff you are looking for. It’s mainly for good music. Just kidding, there’s plenty of country bands around I’m sure
Where are you playing post-punk Irish? In my earlier years I was pretty active in the Irish Trad scene around here.I had high hopes for a Country gig when I moved down here from MI in 2019. Not much Country outside of the red dirt type music and whatever they do in Austin.
I'm playing post-punk Irish music and we're pretty damn busy doing it. So, I don't mind.
If you are going to eat in Ft Worth check out Angelo's BBQ.
World famous!
Thanks for all the suggestions! I should have also asked where to go eat...
I hear there's going to be a couple of baseball games on those nights.
Maybe not great seats, but $1,400 for the both of you should get you through the gate.
There's some good clubs out on Jacksboro Highway. You'll needd a gun and a tetnus shot.
Well, as a Fort Worthian, Billy Bob’s surely is massive, with like 43 bars and several stages under one immense roof. If the headliner appeals, it’s worth it. Dallas and FW are 30 miles apart and the Cowboys play in Arlington which is in the middle.
That's in Ft Worth not Dallas. To be fair the original post says DFW area. I've played there a dozen or so times and while it is a lovely payday, it isn't my first choice to see an act at.
