Dallas Ft Worth...what to do

I'm sorry to hear about your wife, my condolences. No one should have to suffer like that.
I had high hopes for a Country gig when I moved down here from MI in 2019. Not much Country outside of the red dirt type music and whatever they do in Austin.
I'm playing post-punk Irish music and we're pretty damn busy doing it. So, I don't mind.
Tone Shop is a great guitar haven if you’re into that. Jones Mahal is a great place to see a game. Have fun.
I hear there's going to be a couple of baseball games on those nights.
Maybe not great seats, but $1,400 for the both of you should get you through the gate.

As far as music, Deep Ellum is where it’s at but not for the kind of stuff you are looking for. It’s mainly for good music. Just kidding, there’s plenty of country bands around I’m sure

Yeah if he’s gonna be in Dallas, then Pecan Lodge would be the place.
Where are you playing post-punk Irish? In my earlier years I was pretty active in the Irish Trad scene around here.
Used to go there as a kid in the early 60's when the floor was covered in sawdust.
Bishops Art District, Oak Cliff. Old, historic shops converted into foodie restaurants and bars in Oak Cliff.
Yeah, unless you've got tickets, might want to avoid Arlington and interstate 30 before or after WS games 1 & 2.

I'd suggest you come see our band Fri or Sat, which is about 50% country, though we'll be way north of the main DFW metromess Fri and almost in Oklahoma Sat.

My band is playing at T's in Lewisville, just a couple of miles from the airport. We are a 90's 2000s rock radio cover band. Gonna be a Halloween theme too

Well, as a Fort Worthian, Billy Bob’s surely is massive, with like 43 bars and several stages under one immense roof. If the headliner appeals, it’s worth it. Dallas and FW are 30 miles apart and the Cowboys play in Arlington which is in the middle.
That's in Ft Worth not Dallas. To be fair the original post says DFW area. I've played there a dozen or so times and while it is a lovely payday, it isn't my first choice to see an act at.
And Fort Worth will be a pretty long drive from the airport in the pouring rain which is forecast for the whole weekend. Dallas too. There should be something good going on in the mid-cities. Sounds like you have some good leads here already.
