Dang, those white MBD models are super sexy. I still love my black one more than any OD ever, but the white ones make me drool. Add the oxblood knobs and my head explodes

Thanks! I liked the 24” so much, I did the same thing to my Classic 1 (22”)—they came out very lightweight, yet sturdy...

I recently picked up a Sunn Beta Bass 1x15 combo to pair with my Ampeg Micro CL—
Haven’t decided on a set path of signals yet but I’m thinking of running the always on Rusty by itself into the CL’s 2x10 and the Annex + MBD-1 into the Beta.
(Not pictured: a TU-2 & TU-3W, for use in each amp’s respective “chain” as a kill-switch/mute.)
Need to snag a Loop Blender for the Annex+MBD-1 combo!!

Damn man that is gonna be a killer rig with that sunn combo!! I’ve heard what those things can do. They can get hella loud. And sound awesome.
The pairing is quite nice (to put it gently!)
Out of consideration for my neighbors, I haven’t had the Sunn up past 9:00 since getting it back to my apartment.
Once I figure out a good pedalboard layout I’ll have to toss all consideration to the side and record some decent video soundbites. It’s been a long time coming.. also I must say that it feels great to have an MBD-1 back on my board (thanks @Maxfenderbass !!)
I tried the Hilbish knobs I’ve got on this one but the stock knobs definitely look better on the black enclosure.
I finally threw Davies on my MBD. I think I may get black ones eventually. Maybe. But I dig the oxblood for sure.

Man, a couple dark glass, mxr,xotic,boss,ehx.tech21. The MBD-1 It does everything my ears want, low end is retained, subtle grit is great on this one, don't need super dirty tone. Its just amazing in my search (which is over) for a usable OD sound.
For me, the MBD-1 got rid of a few things: Pike Vulcan, SolidGoldFX Beta, MXR Bass Distortion (though I still kinda miss this one), CAL Holy Fire 9.
It is one of the few dirt pedals you can use really for anything. Great great sound
For me it kicked the Dunwich ODB off as my main OD tone. It really beat out my Pork Loin and the ODB. I was still going back and forth with those when I had them. But then I got the MBD and without question, it won out over both those other ones.
Same. The ODB is incredible but having it run alongside the MBD-1 was too much good IMO. And the MBD-1 is just inherently more versatile & suited for my silly needs.
It also knocked off all of my Darkglass, Volt Thrower(s) & my v2 Iron Pig, as well as my Model feT & F800B/CVLT Deluxe.
Dang- I’m glad my pedal GAS is somewhat more in check these days lol

I wouldn't say kicked but up until I finished the MBD I was using a Bottle Rocket and BDDI.
MBD1 has replaced Grizzly Bass, a Blueberry clone, and Dunwich ODB. It just works better for me, easier to dial in. It's also replaced the few fuzzes I'd been tinkering with. The MBD isn't technically a fuzz... I just realized I prefer phat heavy distortion to fuzz.
