Damnation Audio Fan/Appreciation Thread

Thanks! I liked the 24” so much, I did the same thing to my Classic 1 (22”)—they came out very lightweight, yet sturdy...View attachment 3459744View attachment 3459745

Good work, man. That looks nice and clean...

Family question time.
What pedal(s) has the MBD-1 replaced for you? And what do you like better about it?

I was never really settled on a heavy OD/distortion until the MBD-1. Along the way I had Bug Drive, Volt Thrower, CAL Grizzly, Mini 66, Darkglass A/O, Pike Vulcan, VFE Triumvirate, Pickle Pie B, and probably a few others. I honestly can't decide if it's the clean blend that does it for me, the character of the actual MOSFET distortion, or both. I'm wondering if I would've settled on one of the others had the Damnation Loop Blend been at my disposal...

I've thought the same, but I realized that I'm just happier with one really really good dirt pedal that you can use for anything, like the MBD-1. Otherwise I'd drive myself nuts with all of the combinations.

At last, a proud owner, thanks to @cataract. Delivered in just two days, I envy your postal service as a European.
