Really? Hmmm I was of the understanding most non dirt pedals were more in the 10-20 range... not that I worry as I can draw up to 250 per port so unless it’s some crazy digital thing I never max out.

Non-dirt pedals? How did we get there?
The question was about current draw on the MBD, which is a dirt pedal.

That’s usually the case. And I may be completely wrong. But I would think because of the depth of the circuit, the filtered blend, the amount or controls you have, it would have some added ma draw. But again, maybe I’m wrong. Maybe it’s like 15ma. I’m not sure why I think it’s around 45. I thought i saw it somewhere at some point.

Just checking in to say I'm still enjoying the oxblood knob MBD I got last year. It's the beefiest bass distortion I've heard.

I started using the depth on my MBD. I didn't think I could like this pedal any more than I already do. Man it sounds so good with the depth and gain at noon and tone around 1!! \m/
I didn't want to say anything that would come off condescending but reading before, people's comments here how they run it with depth set to minimum and how it's a knob they won't miss...
The range of interplay to be had with the depth and gain knobs alone make the MBD-1 an extremely versatile distortion that remains very usable throughout its range(s).
Normally when I get something new the shine wears off after a few weeks, but I've had the MBD-1 for well over a year and I just have zero interest in other distortion pedals. Aching for the aluminium edition and knowing 'smarter' than to get a second pedal for its looks, just to try and sell off the first at a big loss 'cause no one here knows about this incredible pedal, doesn't count.

Doesn’t come across negatively at all. I know I’ve said that in the past but I’m really glad it’s there. I’ve always preferred my drive tone to be slightly scooped with good high and high mid clank. When you set the switch in the down position and run the depth fully CCW, you get that nice, slightly scooped sound that comes across nice n clanky yet smooth. But I’ve been playing in dropped C and C standard a lot lately and there really isn’t a more heavenly sound that a P bass tuned to C standard through the MBD set with the depth up high and the gain around noon, tone around 1. It just sounds the way a heavy bass tone should sound to me. It’s just amazing. It makes me want to never stop playing just so I can hear that dirty tone. So not that I’ve changed my opinion about the depth knob, I always thought it was a great parameter to have, I just never utilized cause of the way I liked my drive tone.
The MBD is just a versatile pedal. It responds totally different to my Jazz and or my ATK. But I just tune the pedal to the bass and they melt right together. I’m still extremely happy with my MBD and I’ve had it well over what, 2 years? I used to swap out OD’s monthly for years. Then I got the MBD and I don’t ever even consider other OD’s now. I mean, every now and then I see one that looks cool, but they just aren’t on the same level as the MBD IMO. It’s a really special and unique pedal and circuit design. I think the only one that I’ve seen some close that I can think of is the Gasoline one. But even still, I just have no OD GAS and I’m happy to be that way almost all the time.
I have always loved the Prometheus, but without a blend, there was so much I couldn’t make use of. The Bloop has changed that. I’m so excited by what I heard, I’m taking it to a gig tonight, trial by fire.
MBD-1 showed up two days early. I’ve had all of about 6 minutes with it.
While much has been written about its blend, (and I’ve had my Bloop for a few months now), my first impression favorite setting is clean all the way down, depth all the way up, and any setting on all the other stuff.
While it won’t unseat any of my favorite distortions, it will be welcomed into my family, a permanent Ward.
