I didn't want to say anything that would come off condescending but reading before, people's comments here how they run it with depth set to minimum and how it's a knob they won't miss...
The range of interplay to be had with the depth and gain knobs alone make the MBD-1 an extremely versatile distortion that remains very usable throughout its range(s).
Normally when I get something new the shine wears off after a few weeks, but I've had the MBD-1 for well over a year and I just have zero interest in other distortion pedals. Aching for the aluminium edition and knowing 'smarter' than to get a second pedal for its looks, just to try and sell off the first at a big loss 'cause no one here knows about this incredible pedal, doesn't count.
