I think because they sold out, if you search and check "sold listings" under "show only" they'll show up

Wow, that's a massive sounding chain I'm sure. What made you put the HB first rather than last?
With the Rick the HB was basically functioning in place of having an onboard preamp in the bass. Now with Dingwall NG3 it’s certainly a little bit less useful, the sweepable midrange is powerful though. I use the B7K Ultra 2 as my “amp” (with the Nolly megameld IR) so wouldn’t make sense to run it after that.
It might be cool to run the HB right in front of the MBD as an ‘insanity’ boost, my chain is pretty set though...
Quick question, and apologies if it's been answered previously in this megathread somewhere.
With the boost toggle engaged and distortion minimized, can the MBD-2 serve as a relatively clean boost pedal to push others further down the chain? Or are those MOSFETs going to sizzle straight away?

I'm not sure who has played one of the 2’s yet. But I would imagine it could/would work that way with the gain and depth down really low. But I can’t answer that with certainty since I’ve never played a 2. It’s just an assumption from my exp with the 1.
Thanks, I haven't used the MDB-1, but I'm grateful for the input, and hoping that experience translates to the MDB-2.
It's not a deal-breaker for me in any case, I'll pick up an MDB-2 regardless (if possible!). Just that it will push a boost off the board and I'm trying to avoid having to get another in a 1590a size enclosure.
Well, it arrived! I have no experience with the MBD-1 so can’t say if it sounds different, but after a few min of messing around I’m enjoying it. Very glad it has the 20db switch, since without that in the up position I only get a massive clean boost without distortion (guess I have one of those "weak-willed" basses!)
Edit: once I had the place to myself I was able to up the volume on my bass and amp and switch off the 20db boost, and yeah, there's tons of distortion there. Critical thinking brought to you by skipping lunch and the excitement of getting a pedal
Only bummer is it arrived from CME with the Clean blend knob wobbly at the base, which I imagine will need a repair if it isn’t to get worse
Edit: once I kick in the 20db boost and then up the gain on my bass, I start getting an R2-D2 sort of squealing that doesn't seem like feedback as I've experienced it, anyone have an idea what that could be?

Yeah, the blue is pretty gorgeous and has an interesting depth to it. Gotta say, the grey looks great too
In terms of the loose knob, I'm hoping CME will just let me exchange it. Just messed around with this thing for a few more minutes and it sounds gnarly!
For the squeal, I'm guessing that's probably more my set-up than anything else, but I'm not really sure
Consider yourself lucky, you were able to buy it a week early and CME had permission to send them a week early. That's like a life hack or something.
Meh, between waiting a week and getting a fully intact/mint pedal, I can wait a week (especially when it's not the cheapest purchase)
Thanks for alerting. I was going to buy one, but will wait to see if this is a batch wide problem. I did have an MBD-1 that I had to send back due to issues so I was already a little wary.
