Damnation Audio Fan/Appreciation Thread

Really hope to hear some good demos on the dist2. I’m not really sure I’m on the market for a new dist. I’m pretty happy with what I have atm. However, a pleasing demo to my ears could sway me to snag one.....
I'd like to see Hondo Felder do a demo on it.
His demos sold me on the Way Huge Pork & Pickle, and MBD-2.

Did some recording yesterday with Martin Bisi (BC Studios). MBD-1 was on the whole time.

Does any body here have experience with comparing the MBD to the OCD/Demon/DOD 250 circuit? I had an OCD back in the day, but now I'm curious as to how it would pair/stack with the MBD.

Arrived today.
The Barbarian Fuzz Raiders Iron Hatchet.
Based on the "grey box" DOD-250.

So far, I've only tried it before the MBD-2.

With a lower gain setting, it gives a nice boost to the MBD-2.
If the gain is set higher, say, 2-ish or more, it tends to dominate the voice of the MBD.

Will spend some more time with it and see if there's any "magic combo" with the two.

I’m *still* waiting on the MBD2 I ordered from CME last Monday to show up. USPS is really dropping the ball...

But I did go back to my local store after work today and bought back my MBD1 that I had traded in. So I’ll maybe eventually have a board with dual MBD’s on it if USPS ever decides to deliver my 2.

I look forward to a full review.
I'm still not 100% sold on it yet.

That’s where I am as well. I already know it’s an awesome dist. Just not sure if it’s something I need to add to my dirt arsenal or not yet. Not gigging and or rarely jamming with others these last couple years has made it tough to button down a board im happy with. I’m really happy with my board as is now. But who knows, it’s always changing. Especially these days.

IH + MBD-2 = MBD-3D

No reason you have to have a Curmudgeon. As with most of my products the impetus is often quite niche. If it doesn't speak to you then you probably don't need it. There's a certain wall of sound that can only be achieved with certain characteristics. If you prefer precision then you need other characteristics.

When I'm shredding with my metal band I need one tone. When both of my guitarists are soloing, I need a different tone to fill the gaps. And when I day dream about my one-man-harsh-noise-sludge-band I need a different tone.
