Yes the blender is ordered. Just what I needed to make me rebuild my board again. Just when you think you are done. Bam!!! Damnation audio comes through again!! Thanks!
Just went to buy a blend, but man $179? For a simple one knob blend with a phase switch? Seems awfully high when there are much more featured blends for cheaper. But I hope all who buy are happy with it since y'all are certainly excited about it.
I like Jeff too and was an early MBD-1 owner, but I don't like him THAT much!It is expensive. But I like Jeff, I like Damnation and I like his products and supporting him and what he’s doing. OTOH, I’m sure there are reasons why it’s priced the way it is.
A new band? You get to use more effects? Very cool!I started jamming with some new guys and they like my style. They actually want me to use a lot of effects so we can broaden our music. I'm totally game. But a part of me just wants to strip my board down to like just 4 or 5 pedals. The Blender being one of them. I think I may do that anyway. I'm anxiously awaiting the Blender. I can't think of another time I've been this excited for a utility pedal!!! haha
It’s a low-passed clean blend, not a straight clean blend. I’m sure a lot of testing and design work went into the creation. For a pedal from a small operation, it’s a fair price.Just went to buy a blend. Figured it's a good way to spend 90 bucks or so, but man $179? For a simple one knob blend with a phase switch? Seems awfully high when there are much more featured blends for cheaper. But I hope all who buy are happy with it since y'all are certainly excited about it. Seems excessively high a price for what it is. I can't imagine there are very many parts inside.
It's more than a simple clean blend. The blend puts in a low passed signal, more complicated than just a parallel signal. Seems pretty standard for a small builder who isn't doing this full timeJust went to buy a blend. Figured it's a good way to spend 90 bucks or so, but man $179? Here's a gut shot before I wired Greg's up...

Don't know if that's a lot of parts or not.

Definitely more than I expected under the hood. I still think it's too much given what I can get from Xotic for a few bucks cheaper, but definitely more in there than my $60 blend pedal. I'm not sure though if people should get their panties in a twist over a "low passed clean blend." I mean, that feature seems fairly standard on most blend circuits, no? Anyhow, I won't piss on anyone's barbecue anymore. Just hope all you who ordered really enjoy it.
Again, what exactly are you comparing? You're setting up a comparison between similar products that in fact have little in common in terms of purpose, construction, and more importantly economy of scale and staffing.Definitely more than I expected under the hood. It's always helpful when strangers on the internet tell people what they should or shouldn't do.I'm not sure though if people should get their panties in a twist over a "low passed clean blend."
I would say that's absolutely NOT standard on any pedal that's marketed as a "clean blend."Definitely more than I expected under the hood. What I meant by that was that most of my dirt pedals with blend sport the low passed thing. Probably should have made that clearer. Anyhow, hey, not telling you what to do, think, say or anything like that. Just giving my opinion. I probably should have known better though given how rabid the Damnation fan base is. It's like talking about god or something. I don't personally feel anyone is above critique, but hey man, whatever you feel is cool with me.Again, what exactly are you comparing?
