Ah screw it. I developed a new filter for the "clean" channel. It's meaty and punches really hard. I'm super excited about it. It's not "better" than the stock Bloop its just the next evolution of the original idea. I also changed the controls to be more flexible.

Well that's basically the most apparent changes. The other ones were on the circuit and construction side.

I'd be happy too but I've derailed us enough at the moment. If possible, I'd like a full day of voting before we go completely off the rails.

#3 is my first choice. #1 is my second choice.

The LPF on the loop return makes the most sense. You can actually use the switch in both positions.
The HPF on the loop send would be nice but picking a fixed freq is very difficult as each pedal will react differently.
The LPF on the clean channel: Useful when on, pointless when off, IMO.
#4 and #5 are very intriguing. I'm having a hard time hearing the sounds in my head but I'm all for them if either works.

Instead of clipping diodes, I'd say an input gain trimpot.

I have an early '17 MBD-1 and an MBD2.
At first, they both sounded the same to me, until I got my L-2000 basses.
Then, the hot signal of the Tookay was clipping the clean side of the 1, giving it a different tonality, that I wasn't getting with the 2.

Not sure why, but the 2 just handles a hotter signal than my 1.

I gave it the weekend and the vote seems to go towards:

So I'll to my best to include something usable here with the space I have available in the circuit.

2 or 3 for me too. I like the existing Bloop but I certainly wouldn't turn down an always on, smaller one with internal trim pot blend and dip switch phase control to stick under a pedalboard. That might take some surface mount wizardry that wouldn't wish on anyone though.

I've been watching threads and discussions about the MBD-2 for a long time. I decided to take a chance and buy one to see if it lived up to the hype. This is basically what it did to all my other dirt pedals...all of them.

It's a tale as old as time...

watching the thread, thinking how can all these people all dig this dirt pedal...people who seem to know what they are talking about...or at the very least have tried everything under the sun. sure, there are a few people who don't click with it - heck, some people don't like pizza?@!?@!?@ - but yeah...picking up an MBD 1 or 2 is a solid move. You'll only be disappointed if you are expecting chorus when you click it on.

I haven't messed with the MBD-2 although I probably should pick one up but the MBD-1 is my go to pedal. It's always on and never fails.
