Damnation Audio Fan/Appreciation Thread

It's Rex Manning day! Demo should drop at noon. We posted a short teaser yesterday too. Thanks everyone for your support on this new collab.
I picked one up before even hearing a demo. Im a sucker for anything that has to do with music for kids. The demo sounds excellent and I cant wait to try it out. Thanks for looking out for our future musicians.

Is the CW still happening, or did it evolve into this collab?

The CW dies in its infancy. Dave and I discovered the Spite Box while trying out Chainworker prototypes. After a year of prototypes we decided to scrap the original 2 knob CW idea and create the Spite Box.

Same core ethos as the original CW idea but with a different foundation plus the dirty octave blend (at @whoismarykelly's insistence).

I've mentioned this in a few random posts but the original Chainworker ideas became unfeasible with the scarcity of one of the key parts. I tried to to come up with alternatives and workarounds (ask me about the "ocho" when I'm more emotionally stable) but none of them satisfied like the OG Ugly Twin on bass until we discovered the Spite Box's core circuit architecture. There is nothing hi-tech or revolutionary under the hood. It's just a cool combo of sounds we discovered by accident. I'm super excited about it and hope you guys enjoy it.

So in short. This is as close to Damnation Audio fuzz we are likely to see.

That was the impression that I got.
I recall the CW was supposed to debut around the same time as the CM2.
But, multiple issues popped up, and put it further on the back burner.
After seeing the announcement of the SB, I figured it was the successor of the unreleased CW.

I received the Spite Box today and recorded a quick loop while moving the knobs around. This pedal has quite a range of dirt/fuzz. It can get spitty and can cut with the spite knob, with the depth knob the bass can be very powerful and deep. I really like the texture of the gain, it seems to have a 'complex' quality to it. Loop is spite box direct to interface, p bass with gzr pickups.

I am in no way shape or form a demo guy, just like this pedal and wanted to share some sounds.
