Yeah I love everything the MBD does, but for me I use it almost exclusively as a mild dirt tone enhancer. The MBD will be one of those pedals that will be an all time classic in a few years, it's so good.
When I decide to get real crazy, I stack a VT Bass into a Darkglass VMT into the MBD1, and I plan on using that combo on a song my band is currently writing.
Even though the X7 is all the rage, the MBD is still the shizz.
I really love the Distortion/OD you can dial in with the MBD-1. Alone it is fantastic. Paired with other pedals, it just makes them even better. I have yet to find anyone to ask me to turn off the MBD-1.
Very few pedals are long-term “game changers”...this is one of them. The MBD-1 will seriously n-o-t disappoint!Hi guys!

The MBD-1 does not succumb to short-term GAS...it becomes part of YOUR core sound.
It also stacks extremely well with many other dirt pedals...jump off the fence, with confidence!

Getting antsy for a bloop. No interest in an X7. Maybe when they do an Ultra I might consider it as a replacement for the A/O. All I really want is a bloop though.

Just finished working on a small all-purpose (Classic Jr) board. I don’t need much dirt these days, so my trusty MBD-1 will plenty “suffice”... Pb has a very quiet noise floor, too! My objective was to build a multi (genre) use ampless/IEM board to grab and go...
Experimented with the chain order and this configuration works best for me...beautiful thick/fat OD can be had here! Will finish wiring it up more permanently today...

At least there’s plenty to choose from these days to give you the option.
As much as I hate side jacks, there are still some pedals that I just have to have that have them.
Totally get that...just felt I needed to draw the line/shorten the choice list somehow. (Unlimited-criteria pedal flipping can get out of hand...at least for me
)
Got myself the bass loop blender earlier this week on a bit of a whim. Was never a fan of using a blender before, but was reading how others have enjoyed it.
So far, loving the results. Looking forward to hearing how this feels in the mix with one of my bands that has a bit more of a dense guitar mix.

I can't tell you exactly how it will sit for you, we're all different, but I know since I've had the Bloop in my chain, everything sounds better. When I go direct to a board, it sounds like I'm playing through a big, hot, tube powered beast where all the power tubes are getting hit hard. That's with the MBD added. Without the MBD, it sounds like a hot, beefy tube head. I love that thing.
Does anyone have any pedal suggestions for staking into the MBD? Last night my band had a gig and while I don't play clean often, when I do, it's just not what I want. So I want to get a low gain overdrive to have always on and would go into the MBD. I know that thread has been done to death so I know what is good out there, but I am specifically wonder for staking into the MBD. I have a Beta Germanium that I never liked (lame bottom end) that I can try. Also Southhamption Pedals are popular near me (40 min away) so I can try a fifth gear with my board...
