Darkglass alpha omega ultra

From what I can see, there is no parallel out (similar to B7K Ultra). There is only ‘out’ and Cab Sim is always off on that.

Cabsim is always on in the headphone output, switchable on DI, always off in 1/4” output.

Regards,
D.

I know Australia is expecting them in about 4 weeks. Possibly Brazil will be similar?

Oh man, I wish! Unfortunately Brazil has been a very difficult country to sell in.
Our Argentinian partner, however, is much more proactive. I believe there’s a free trade treaty between Brazil and Argentina?

Regards,
D.

Hi @Darkglass ,
can you give us insight on how the truncation is on the IRs? Wanted to get a Mooer Radar but with this in sight and possibly better ir resolution I would have an all-in-one solution.

Thanks,
Philipp

Hey! The length of the impulse is 1020 samples at 48 kHz sample rate, that's 21 milliseconds.

Kind regards,
D.

Did it.
Pulled the Sweetwater trigger on the AOU.
Cant wait to make this a reality

I'm hoping to pick up my AOU in a few days. Been watching some demos on YT and so far, I'm really liking what I hear from the cabsims. I have a Fender Rumble 100 combo with no XLR input. Would a XLR female-jack 1/4" male adapter cable work to get those sounds on my amp?

no need to put the cab sim into your amp as your speaker will change the cab sim, better to send the straight di to front of house and eq your amp to sound close

So, I'm looking for some advice on this pedal.

I am about ready to pull the trigger and order the AOU and think I have my rig setup in place for it. My plan was originally to put it in the middle of my signal chain in place of an amp (which I don't use). However, I have a pretty good preamp setup in place using a Black Finger and various stacked overdrives that warms my tone before digital effects.

So the AOU can go at the very end of my chain as a true DI. This means that I would be running modulation, delay, reverb, everything into it, and I use a lot of effects. I only plan to blend in about 30% and primarily omega side. Will this absolutely swamp the effects, or just give everything a little edge? I won't have a chance to try the pedal before I order it (rural Canada!) so I could use some perspective from anyone who has the pedal. What does it sound like after ALL THE EFFECTS instead of before most of them?
