I am not sure of the exact technical calculation, but when a player gets to a certain level and sparks fly from their fingertips it is considered in the tech industry to approximate 100 watts lost due to the sparks given off as light and heat.You didn't lose 100 watts, did you?

Got my M900 from Andertons monday. Tested at home at almost gig volume with my Unicorn 2104 cab 1000W with Faital speakers. Clear and loud with many sound options and a touch breakup with the VMT/BK3. Eager to test drive at tonights rehearsal with my 4 ohm EBS cabs, 410 Neoline and 210 Proline.
Some comparison between the Microtubes 900 and the Tone Hammer 500 ?
I own a TH500 and also a few Darkglass pedals, including Vintage Deluxe and B7K, that I play through a transparent amp head. The Darkglass head has the Vintage and B7K flavors built in, so, the tonal differences between TH500 and M900 will be noticeably different: the TH500 leans dark and vintage, while the DG tones lean crisper and more modern (including the "Vintage" channel).
I'll leave it to any who own both M900 and TH500 to compare volume.

I do not own a TH500 but did own a VT Bass 500 which I used for a while with an NV610 in a loud relatively heavy project where I am competing with two guitarists playing through 5150 heads & 412 cabs.
The VT kept up fine at around I'd say 60-70% juiced, the 900 isn't even breaking a sweat before it is what I would consider too loud.
Headroom for days.

After bumping the low mids in order to not fight the guitar I kept turning myself DOWN at tonight's rehearsal - and I was standing next to my cabs. Ended up with the master volume at less than 20%. Not to mention the microtube section's level was also waaay down.
The microtubes 900 is definitely a lot brighter than the Streamliner 600 I've been using. It's actually a bit disturbing to me getting such a clear tone - especially since I bought it to get dirty! Both heads definitely have their place and compliment each other nicely.
I'm having issues with my left hand so I can't play too much but there's something a bit special I'm planning to record with it when I can - probably November.

I've only been able to push it in a live band rehearsal situation for a few hours, I'll be recording from this Friday to Sunday though so that ought to be fun!
Just got my phone call from Brent @ Sweetwater. M900s are in earlier than they planned. Shipping out today and expected ETA is Tuesday.

So those of you who have the MT900 already, does it come with a footswitch to activate the vmt, b3k, and clean channels?

It comes with the footswitch, but it only does distortion/clean/mute. The VMT/B3K is only changeable on the amp. You will need a standard instrument cable for the footswitch though. That is not included
An optional extra multi-switch coming later will supposedly add the ability to switch between the B3K and the VMT.
So there I was setting up for recording tomorrow. Messing about with settings and arranging the headphone amps etc. "Sound checking" and turned on the B3K in the amp. Sounds good. Stomped on the B7K.... oh dear. I thought I was going to be able to sell that preamp now when I have the amp. B7K->B3K seems like such overkill.... apparently not.
