Are "Power amp in" and "Return" the same thing?

When I use "power amp in" the master volume does not work.

Why?

Im looking for some specs about the new intelligent footswitch.

Do you think B3K and VMT circuits works indepedently ? I mean, can we mix the two signals by pressing B3K and VMT button on the foot switch ? or each button will only engage the circuit which it is linked and cut the other ?

I'm assuming it's one or the other.

I'm not sure how useful it would be for me to switch between them without separate controls for each. I don't typically have my B7JU and VMTU set the same.

I asked on Sunday and was told the cabs are still in prototype and we're looking at about a year out.

I'm sure it will be a 4x10 or a 2x12 because of the weight, but for the brand i don't know between Ampeg, Fender, Markbass and brand i dont really know like Genz benz, SWR or Gallien krueger.

Can you light me up ? I play in a modern hard rock/metal band on Gibson Thunderbird and Rickenbacker.

If you have a chance I recommend trying it out with different cabs. We did a limited try with a few cabs at a bass meetup, and the sound was dramatically different. We particularly didn't think it paired that well with the Mesa Subway cabs.

I have paired mine with a Barefaced Supertwin - its lovely.

If you need a big sound there is a Barefaced Big Twin up for sale on Gumtree UK, basschat as well i think, that will be enough to make your trousers flap

if you need a smaller cab like the compact, you can change the ohms setting on the back of the amp, so it pushes less watts

why not just turn down the master volume? Is there a difference?

@Nic. I wasn't sure what cabs he had in mind, for example using Barefaced cabs my supertwin can handle 1000w easy but the super compact only handles up to 650w
So if you select the 2 ohm min load it will deliver up to 500w into a 4 ohm cab 350w into an 8ohm cab.

It just means the DG amp is versatile to be able to get that awesome sound even with a small rig

For what i've seen, no cab in my budget can handle full power of this head. But lets be honest, except little venue for 50 poeple, sound of the cab will only be my sound on stage and poeple will mostly hear sound from the PA.

Hi. Yes, there is. An amplifier whose output volume control is set at more than shut and less than full, still will produce up to 100% of its maximum output if its input signal is high enough.
