Darkglass Microtubes 900 Class D Amp

Barefaced Big Baby II's here. Crazy good cabs that sound excellent with every amp I've plugged into them.
From the Darkglass Facebook group, here and the Swedish forum, people have said they like the M900 with:
Mesa Road Ready 410, Mesa 412, Ampeg SVT 810e, Ampeg 410 HLF, GK Neo, TC RS410 & 212, Schroeder 4x12, Hartke, Ebs Neo 410 & Proline 210, Aguilar GS112, TKS W2126.
I also tried the Darkglass 410 prototype (but not so loud and not with a band) and that sounded good too. But not available until the autumn.
So that is a decent list to choose from.
Had a feeling that was yourself on the Facebook group! I chimed in with the TC RS series cabs on there. If Darkglass ever make an 8x10 and 4x12 I'll be absolutely sold! Although I think I'll end up buying two of the 4x10's when they release anyway.

I run the M900 to a Mesa PowerHouse412. It is a head/cab quite a match and gets LOUD!
Hello all, I just bought the Darkglass 900 last week and LOVE the tone out of it. A couple of things. Know your stuff, the guy I dealt with had little clue about the product. The tone is amazing and there are 2 overdrive modes. The clean is as bright or dark as you choose to dial in. the 2 drawbacks I have noticed are the lack of independent effects loop and only 1 output (combo Speakon-1/4"). It sounds so warm. 2 OUTPUTS would be a great addition on the next GEN of amp they decide to do.
Keep the Active mode IN and off for you fellow active electronics guys. Buy a compressor pedal or rack dbx if you don't want to hear the Signature Fender Noiseless HISS we all know about. The compressor is tied to the gain on this unit.
Price is pretty stupid, but, these days everything is expensive.

Independent loops?
I exclusively play active basses and never use active mode or active inputs. Just a big ol' tone sucker IME.
I don't follow.
Pre Amp Out & Power Amp In, is an effects loop.
The price isn't so crazy considering you essentially get a B7K and a VMTU included in the price.
Thank you for your post. I agree with a few things you said. First, 2 speakon seems like a no brainer. There is no reason why a head should only have 1 output these days. Which leads to the second point; the price. IMO if you are going to ask more than other brands like Mesa or GK you better make sure you have every option they have plus some. The price isn't outrageous, but 1 output for me is a deal breaker. I know guys are saying just daisy chain. Point is you shouldn't have to for $1k amp. Once again, just my opinion, but I guess I will look elsewhere

Or a weight saving thing. Sure it's a lightweight part but every little bit helps and ounces (grams in this case) count.
You're paying a premium for the Darkglass sound, sheer power, 2 ohm operation, and awesome design.

The price-point for everything you get (x2 distortion circuits) IMO is pretty good and one hell of a solid amp. And the amp has a LOT of headroom for a small footprint.
Did I read that right? You're not going to buy the amp because you would have to daisy chain the speakers?
The only thing I wish was on it that is missing is a headphone out. But that's a minor complaint considering there are ways around it. Everything about this amp is simply wonderful in the short space of time that I've owned it. It's getting harder and harder to choose which amp to bring to gigs now between this and my Mesa amps!
I didn't know it was an effects loop, that is good to know. Now i was reading the manual (online, I haven't purchased the amp yet) and it states that when something is plugged into the power amp In the master volume knob is disabled. How do you control the volume then, just a volume pedal?
