Dean Club!!!

Thanks guys. Just caught this demo and it actually sounds really good. Like a P with a little extra.

They do have great ‘fast’ necks.
1.5” wide and 3/4” thick at nut. Usually a thin satin finish. I have 3 variations of the 09M that I plan on modifying someday. I purchased an Omega badass II style black bridge and EMG pup and controls for it but have yet to install them.

These show up on GC used and MGR used regularly for prices I mentioned previously.

@Darth_Linux , while I was 'away' I had passed along some information through @TheBassmaster27 (who did a great job keeping things going). However, I did not get to compliment you on this very fine looking Jeff Berlin signature bass. It is like it was in a time capsule. Simply gorgeous. I think @Ronen , who also has one, would agree.

Thank you so much for the kind words!

So this was my first Dean.
A mint Z Tour bass from around 2010, give or take a year.
Got it less than a year ago. Now I have 4! Lol. They are simply fantastic instruments, with excellent build quality, looks, sound and playability.
It's odd to.me that all 4 of them came out around 2009 or 2010, lasted a few years and were all discontinued a few years later.
The pinstriping and cheezy jewels were by me, I gotta redo the pinstripes tho.

The Second one I got was a SPIRE bass.
This thing is wicked as hell!!! Neck thru, flame maple top, excellent eq and pickups, Grover tuners, ABS bridge.
I have seven Mockingbirds, this is VERY inspired by that shape and I frigging LOVE it!!! One thing is that the balance and neck dive is WAAY less on the Spire.

Number 3......DEMONATOR!!!!
Just as kickass!! Neck thru, plays like a dream, Grover tuners, cool MOP inlays, Active 3 band eq.
I have not seen a non- Metalman Demonator for sale since I got this one.
All 3 of these seem to be quite hard to come by, actually.

Last but certainly not least, number 4 (so far!) Is the Eric Bass signature Hillsboro bass. It's the Gold one, which is the hardest to find.
This bass BLEW MY MIND!!
The DMT pickup and active eq simply sound PHENOMENAL on this monster bass! The swamp Ash (usually on MUCH more expensive basses) has a very full and deep tone with a sparkling high end excellent articulation. The neck is fast and slim, the gold sparkle finish is gorgeous.
Apparently Eric played the off-the-shelf imports himself onstage. I believe it. These blow away basses that sell for twice what they went for new. What they sold for new was a ridiculous steal. What I got this one for is obscene! Lol.
The 800 dollar Hillsboro basses that they just released are pretty much spec'd out like these were at around 550 bucks.
I'm definitely getting the other two Eric Bass sigs (white and all black) as soon as I can.

Do you gig with all of these or just one or two depending on the set list?
Love the Spire. Two trans red ones on Reverb I've been eyeing.
I also own the gold EB sig and it definitely is sweet. Especially the HMB and the inlays.

green and black Demonator

Thank you sir!!
To answer ur first question, I've actually not been playing out for a couple of years, basically due to recovering from my last spinal fusion surgery, but I'm looking to get back out there as soon as this craziness ends, at least doing covers for fun. But when i.play out I'm one of those idiots who will drag 5 or 6 basses to a gig and switch them up all night, as well as rotating various basses in and out of the gigging lineup. So yea, they will all see stage time! Otherwise I wouldn't buy them all, if not to show em off!

I friggin LOVE those Demonators with the colored wings, especially the green!! I hope one comes up for sale one day when I have the loot!
Believe me, if I hadn't been on a gear shopping spree lately (new computer and audio interface to run a DAW, new electric drums to record demos with, about 10 guitars and basses in the last year.) I would have snapped one of those red Spires up in a heartbeat!!!

Barts and Aphex together!

Please look through the pages of this club. You’ll see all kinds of great basses and catalog pages for reference.

I own an Edge 4 QB
It has a quilt top over the same basswood body as your bass and it has Bartolini pups rather than DMT pups that come with yours.
The Dean Edge 4Q is the same bass with a quilt top over a basswood body but it has EMG-HZ pups.

These are decent basses. You’ll either love or hate the neck. I love them as they’re thin, narrow and usually satin finish for a fast feeling neck.

Please post a pic of the back of the headstock so I can provide you a little more information on your bass.

Your bass has Passive DMT pickups paired with a Dean active Pre-Amp. It is active because of the pre-amp but the pups are passive.
