Shanghai standard on the Dean edge select 6 for 1998 year. B-Mac would know more, he is an excellent source for knowledge about the Dean basses.Brass nut standard or added on? Is it brass?
I believe that to the best of my knowledge is brass coated but not plasticBrass nut standard or added on? Is it brass?

These are great.I'm very late to the Dean Club party, since I bought this Dean Paramount in 2019. Was NIB manufactured in March 2016. Guitar Center was doing an online blowout on these for $279 and I bought it sight unseen. Figured I couldn't go wrong. Turns out, it's like I hit the lottery.
This Paramount (granted, not a traditional Dean model) is a kicka$$ P-Bass. Construction, quality, and sound are great. This is a better P than a Fender Player P in every way. Besides the OK tuners the entire bass is very sweet. At the 2016 MSRP of (I think) $600 this still would have been a great value, more in line with P's that cost $800-$900.
This bass has been my main player since I bought it, and even though I just acquired another bass that may become my main player, I am never letting this Paramount go. Is fantastic with GHS Pressurewounds, my favorite string.

For the curious, I wanted to share the versatility in sound of the Dean Jeff Berlin. They are NOT a one trick pony - just the opposite in fact. When I got my Palaedium, I thought the wiring was bad or something, because it sounded nothing like I expected it to in the "balanced" and "neck" pickup positions. The Dean JB is similar in this regard. Enjoy!
Love your vids and your playing!
I don’t believe I saw you slap before.
Of course I'm subbbed...Thanks B-Mac. I do "slap" quite a bit but there isn't a whole lot of it on my channel 'yet' because I've been so busy this last year with Jeff Berlin and Billy Sheehan shenanigans, plus a plethora of collabs, requests, "best ofs" and other assorted distractions. I've got 5 or 10 Marcus Miller tracks I intend to do, plus some early Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, so stay tuned if you are already subbed (thanks btw), or subscribe if you are not! Thanks in advance!
Phase 1 of the revamp is complete, with the bridge now a quick-release.More or less, although that gets closer to 20mm at the G-C gap. (Though not by much)
Edit: disregard that, it stays firmly between 15-15.5mm, I’m reading the tape measure wrong hahah

It’s just a generic, I had to drill 4 new holes but that was no problem given the screws were self-tapping.What make bridge?
Did you need to drill new holes?
That's similar to the quick release that's on @Tony Carel 's Edge 6It’s just a generic, I had to drill 4 new holes but that was no problem given the screws were self-tapping.
