Dean Club!!!

How u like the edge pro ? I’m thinking bout getting one
I think they're awesome. @2many has one too.
Very underrated. Neck through, brass nut, 3-way preamp.
Action is a preference. Mine are both 4 string models.
I'm a pick player so I can't tell you about slapping. There's certainly enough room between the neck pup and the end of the fret board to comfortably slap.

Neck through -- thumbs up...
Brass nut... Huge thumbs up... They don't put brass nuts on junk!! That was a point of notice when I bought my B2 -- i noticed that feature, because my '74 RIC 4001 has a brass nut with neck through... That bass really sings...
Practiced 2+ hrs yesterday w the B2, I really love the sound I'm getting from that bass, and I think exactly that while I'm playing, makes it so exciting to play, I get excited before picking it up to play... Neck through & Brass nut... This bass sounds great not plugged in, and I bet that Edge does too!
Like I said, junk doesn't have neck through, or a brass nut...
So, just on those two positives, I'd go for this Edge!!
Then add those EMGs... If the neck is good, $400, sound like a deal you need to move on, or it will be gone
Good luck... Rooting for you!!

I bought my bass decades ago. Tbh I haven't put it through much but she still sounds nice to me. Still like the day I got her. It's labeled "e90" at the start of the serial so I guess it's older than most models. I don't know much about it other than that.

If anyone knows anything about this old thing please share.

You've come to the right place...
BMac is a Dean guru, and I am sure he will be able to give you valuable insight on your instrument, which looks great by the way!

One of the early iterations of the Dean Edge 1 Model in Passive. E90 would make it a 1999 model made at the World Music Factory in South Korea.

Yes, welcome
TB is a lot of fun... Some very useful info, some total BS... But, a bass player respite from a guitar & singer oriented business... A place where we bass players, despite some opposing opinions sometimes, can hang and have some good respectful jaw flapping, regardless of the level of playing... That is a very cool thing!!

I have a Dean acoustic 4str bass. It's EAB. I've played some gigs with it and a few gigs with it as the main instrument. It seems to need a little help to achieve good volume but that's not a big deal and easily fixed. I like it very much.
